I know some folks here love Robin Hood - it's from the same company who made Desperados and got very good reviews. Chicago 1930 is also a follower, but not as good like Desperados or Robin Hood.

Personally I love this isometric tactic games, but I know myself that I'm too slowpaced and need a pause function. For Desperados there should be a cheat for this, for Robin Hood I need to take a deeper search (didn't found anything yet).

I'm pretty sure both games have a pause function; the space key, I'd wager.

If you like Commandos/Desperados, Robin Hood is not a bad choice. It's somewhat unbalanced and gets very repetitive towards the end, but all in all it's a decent game. Desperados is better, though.

One review wrote that the game would miss this function. I'm trying to download the manual, but it seems replacementdoc has some problems at the moment, my download will not start.

Edit: Got it. Space starts quick action. There is no shortcut for a pause function, but there is a cheat called stop time. I don't know if this means the game will paused or you don't have a time counter for some missions.

Edit 2: Checked Chicago 1930. Your'e right at that, with spacebar you can not pause but slow down the game. That's sound really interesting.

Thanks - might have to check those out.

I just noticed that they have Hardwar! Totally forgot about that game. Not on sale, but still only €3.99 anyway. MIght have to add that to the list. Has anyone tried this version? I wonder how it runs on a modern PC - I imagine it must use the software renderer.
Borderlands GOTY Steam = $7.99
Sadly, it's a lot more expensive in europe :(
Could someone give me an opinion about this?:

It list as 20 Euro for me, and has the two spac rangers, the three star wolves and ufo:afterlight

Whoa.

Wanting opinions here, too. I hear good things about Space Rangers 2, but I want to know if the rest are worth the extra.

As far as I can tell, Borderlands is $7.50 not $7.99.

UFO Afterlight, you can see the reviews on here. I played Star Wolves 3 a while ago, and I think its a great game, kinda like a more Real-Time version of Space Rangers.
Telltale Catalog is on sale for $49.99 on Steam as part of their summer sale.
