I'm in UK so i get screwed over by pricing aswell, i'd been in for a Borderlands GOTY 4 pack if an american would buy it, i'll gift a $5.99 game as payment.

swizzle66: If you have Vista/ or Windows 7 you might have problems running Doom 3. I bought the Doom pack awhile back. Doom 1 and 2 work fine. Other than that I don't know.
i don't mind missing doom 3, since I played it not that long time ago.. thanks for the warning!

Taleroth: There are source ports out there for several of the games, as well.
source ports do sound interesting (could help preventing the nostalgia losing with the reality;) thanks for the tip!

Snickersnack: Be aware the collection does not include Quake4, Heretic 2, Portal Praevus, ETQW, or Wolfenstein. There's also no redbook audio for games that would use it (Quake 1 &2, Hexen 2)
no Heretic 2 is indeed a pity although I thought it never was an id Soft game.. I don't mind the other games but no soundtracks for q1&2 is a huge letdown and is the only thing keeping me from buying the pack immediately. I guess I'll wait till the end of the sale with the decision. thanks for your input!

tacitus59: I started playing Doom 3 last week on a Vista-64 machine and its working fine - so far.
so maybe there's hope for Doom 3 on Win 7 after all? i guess that there's only one way to find out ;) thanks!

Taleroth: All work fine for me in XP. There are source ports out there for several of the games, as well.
I would highly recomend Skulltag. Multiplayer, mouse support, widescreen, clearer graphics, and it works with Doom 1, 2, Hexen, and Heretic!

You can download the music tracks off of... somewhere. I remember seeing a link at the Steam Forums a while back.

I'm not buying the id pack. I already have hard copies of most games. :)

fwiw, I completed doom 3 & expansion on my win 7 64 bit without any problems.
