Pheace: Steam Midweek Madness seems to be ending 6 hours early. Looks like this might be it *prays*

Delixe: 10am Pacific time on Thursday? That's usually when they end isn't it? I know I often get annoyed midweek sales don't end on Fridays.
Times are always so confusing. The news bits for the past few midweeks said 4pm Pacific time.

It seemed late coming up. Hydrophobia for $3? That was on my wishlist!

Dragobr: According to a few achievements added to indie titles, as well as words from their devs, the summer sale will probably begin on thursday.

;)
Not really a citation but I am a witness of such post. There is also a new killing floor video for a carnival theme level and monsters that starts this weekend. So there should be a KF sale soon too.

The most telling so far seems to be that the KF 'Summer sale' event thing they have starts Thursday, but the Serious Sam people have now also twittered they expect a lot more people to own the game through steam this weekend and even more on Monday (Summer sale and then monday daily perhaps?)

It's unlikely both events would be at the same time normally I think.

Well usually there are discounts on everything during the sale duration especially on the complete packs. People tend to wait for the daily deals though as that's when the prices go mental.

Yeah i know, I try to save my purchases (non dailies) for the last day, or maybe second last depending how big they are.

Croteam were probably hinting that all Serious Sam games will be 50% but there will be a daily and that will probably drop to your 75%.

Yeah that's what I meant to say in the post above (but in a really confusing way xD)

That combined with the Midweek deal this week abruptly ending when the Weekend deal normally starts, rather than overlapping for ~6 hours more seems to be a good indication of the Summer Sale hopefully starting Thursday.

Basically threw off other retailers probably (since these things tend to be planned far in advance so they might have planned around it somewhat), and the trick with giving out TF2 for free when the last Summer Sale started and then throwing a Summer Sale at us a week later would be pretty brilliant (on their part)

Basically they are trying to make people not buy anything during others' sale, waiting for steam sale. That's not just brilliant, it's basically ruthless and very jackassery. They don't just want to sell much, they want others to sell nothing.

Of course this has no proof, so it's just a stupid theory on my part. :p

Navagon: D2D seems inclined to prove that nothing has changed since the buyout and is doing their standard Vampire The Masquerade sale.
Oh how I just love D2D's monthly "Bloodlines for America" ONLY sales.

What other sales?

I'm a bit annoyed that the Steam summer thing has taken just long enough for all my savings to empty out but really, other than the Interplay thing going on here at GOG, there hasn't been too much excitement elsewhere.

Fingers crossed that Gamersgate will also come up with something more enticing. Their sales have been quite ho-hum of late.

Out of everyone, GG is my favorite (no offense to GOG but GOG only specializes in old games) I haven't used them in a long time because I haven't been working so I don't have the cash to purchase stuff that I'm not sure of to try on a whim. All the must haves that GG have on their site, I've already got in my GG library.

Indeed, the TF2 free-to-play announcement was timed to get a ton of new users with eyeballs on the Steam storefront for the sale.

During the last Xmas sale and last summer sale other DD's did have sales but nothing particularly exceptional. TBH they tend to give Steam their week to two weeks of glory then come back with bigger sales when Steam has finished.
So guess what showed up on TF2 just now?

I suspect the sale starts on July 4, if not sooner.
