Btw guys, just curious out of all these services like Steam, D2D, Impulse, Origin and Gamersgate Which ones do i actually have to install a client for?

I know steam does but i really don't want to have more than 1 client to load up like steam in order to play different games.

Impulse and Origin, and Steam....the other two are client free.

Just had a look on Gamersgate and D2D Websites but some of their games still have DRM like securom and tages, At least Gamersgate are honest though and have it in the description, i cant see any mention of DRM in D2D game descriptions, are they hiding it?

Not quite. Origin is only used for installing the games. You can run them without it so you dont need it running like Steam. Impulse is the same but you need it to install updates.

Nope, the game has DRM unless it is stated that it is DRM-free.

With D2D if nothing is mentioned then it has DRM. They usually won't tell you what type. They will specifically say if a game is DRM free or if it requires Steam. Well they don't say Steam they say 3rd party downloader required but that's Steam.

Anyway, back on topic-I can't wait for the Steam Summer Sale. I've been holding back on this GOG sale incase a game I want more goes on sale. :P But I'm very tempted. Thank god this sale is lasting for quite awhile. ;)
