Wow, I've gotten New Vegas before I've even gotten the chance to get Fallout 3. Well, hopefully there will be a sale on that one soon as well. Is it advisable to play Fallout 3 first, or does it not matter?

Also, a reminder since it hasn't been mentioned in a few pages: In case you missed the memo, I don't want to see anybody sorry after the fact that nobody told them, so to reiterate Telltale Games has literally everything, both games and merchandise, other than Back to the Future and Puzzle Agent 2, on sale for 75% off until the end of the month. Hope this reminder is helpful, don't miss out. ;)

Too bad they already ran out of stock on a ton of stuff I wanted to buy.

I'LL NEVER GET TO OWN THOSE DAMN SAM AND MAX SOUNDTRACKS T_T

I was going to mention that and forgot. Yes, the remaining merchandise has become rather paltry. I'm glad I went to town on the first day of the sale, I'm not surprised a 75% off sale on physical goods sold out so quickly. In fact, I'm surprised I was able to order what I did even on that first day, and even then, some of my stuff is still on back-order.

I can only hope they don't have to cancel out on me, but in the end, I have their entire catalog of every game they had on sale, and I'd not have bought that merchandise at the normal price anyway, save for the Sam & Max animated series.

Depends on how much you enjoy the older game. I personally like it so far (I've mostly beaten the older DOTP game already), but for some reason it doesn't feel like much of a challenge on any difficulty. There are more game options now (Archenemy for instance) and its really nice that you can remove the base cards from the decks as well. Still no manual land tapping though :(, but I guess I kinda expected that from a casual MTG game.

Hahaha. Wow, look at the D2D banner advertising Alice.

What the .. They're advertising Brink, Hunted Demon's Forge, BF3, Alice, Crysis 2 as not available on Steam ... that's not even true for 2 of them ...

PM me if you are interested.
I thought I heard you couldn't gift internationally on Direct2Drive. Is this true, can anyone confirm this?

Hmm... actually, it activates on Steam, so maybe this can work. I don't know. You want to give it a shot, just send me a pm and I'll tell you where to address the PayPal payment and I'll try to gift it to you.

Ow, that's some pretty aggressive advertising. Now let's see if Steam fights back, with wads of cash if necessary, just to spite them! :P

hopefully with Discounting the DLC! :)
I just cared about the steam key. Actually my D2D acc. is registered to Germany.
I just never bought anything from them before.
Or to be precise I just discovered them shortly before I moved to Japan.
No I am rarely in Europe anymore. :) so D2D is of now real interest to me.
Looks like it's because those games aren't on Steam in the UK. Which is still rather dubious considering they just re-directed most of Europe to that site in the last few weeks and I doubt they're not aware of that :)

It's not necessary at all. Different storylines and different locations, with different people, etc.
You should be ok.

I know you only cared about the key. It's a Steamworks game, I just wasn't sure if I'd be able to send it to your Direct2Drive account so that you could actually get the key, or if I'd be able to buy it for myself a second time and give you the key.

I know that works on GamersGate, I have two copies of Metro 2033 registered under my name and gave a friend one of the keys to activate on Steam when it was on sale.

I already looked up the answer to my question hours ago. Thanks though! To date, I've avoided watching a single Fallout 3\New Vegas video and haven't bothered reading many reviews. All I know is, glitches aside, it's a departure from the original games but was received quite positively.

Liking Fallout as much as I do, I only cared whether or not it was abysmal, and since it's clearly not, I haven't spoiled a second of the game for myself. Unfortunately, it meant I wasn't sure how necessary it was to play Fallout 3 first, but since it's standalone, I had a hunch it wasn't too vital. Besides, understanding references in sequels after playing in reverse can be fun too. :P

Talked yesterday about it, now it's on sale: Europa Universalis 3 Chronicles 75% off (that's 7.49€ for me). It' the EU3 with all expansions.

http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-EU3C/europa-universalis-iii-chronicles

Now I feel a little bit depressed, because I bought my two missing expansions last weekend for 7.56€. To have one big installer would be nice.

Edit: Sale expires in 2 weeks. Don't know if this is a mistake.

It also has a different edition of cards.
