Fantasysci5: Is it weird that I kinda want the Steam daily sale, Secrets of Magic Crystals? I feel like a bad gamer for even wanting it...*hangs head*
There is no shame in owning a game with unicorns.

From what I've read, it's not a *great* game, but it appears to still be quite addictive.

(Note that I've yet to actually play this game myself. And no, I did not buy it just now, I got it in a pack.)
GreenManGaming is doing a giveaway over on their new forums:

http://forums.greenmangaming.com/

But be advised, their forums are being hammered, and the posted game vouchers go quick.

(I was able to get a copy of Shogun 2)

holy mother of whack, did you see the burning horse in the video?
this game is just so beyond, the attraction is almost unbearable even for the most harden gamer.
As they say: "Only REAL men aren´t afraid to play with dollies" (Cow & Chicken)
no, honestly :D

Delixe: Direct2Drive have Neverwinter Nights 2 Platinum for £6.50 or $9.99 available worldwide.
Is this already patched to the latest version? Or do I have to use the game launcher to patch from and install the expansions separately. I've read that patching through the game launcher often fails and manual patching requires hunting for specific patches for the version of the game you have.

I really enjoyed NWN2, so I'd advise people to get it.

The auto-patcher is hit and miss, It worked fine for me with vanilla and MotB. AFAIK the Platinum version is patched to the latest version anyway but if you download with Comrade it will automatically check if it's the latest version.

I have a bad experience with Comrade, the UI is really slow and it downloaded patches for games from other stores that were already patched to their latest version. It didn't even work as advertised because it didn't show my CD keys for all of my games from D2D, only some of them. The regular download manager works just fine though.

I guess it's worth a try for the price and maybe the auto-patcher will work if it isn't the latest version.

Gameplay can be cludgy at time. Story can be cliche. But it still has some fantastic characters and other stuff.

And Mask of the Betrayer is practically a classic in its own right.
A question about NWN2: As far as I know the Witcher 1 uses the same engine, am I right? So, if my machine has problems to run the Witcher 1 it is very likely that NWN2 also does, am I right? Also, is there any DRM on it? Thanks in advance.

Probably more in all honesty, it's not a well optimised game and you can get slowdown on even modern PC's.

Okay, thanks. So I better pass this time and wait till I got a better machine. Thanks again.

Fallout New Vegas for £8.75 (75% off) at Direct2Drive. Never played an open-world rpg before. I like all kind of genres, should I buy?

Not really the same engine. They're more like brothers.

Witcher 1 uses Aurora, but it doesn't seem like Aurora. Neverwinter Nights 2 uses Electron, which was built from Aurora.

Thanks for the details. I hope they are close enough that if someday Atari will release it here GOG can tweak it a little bit. But that are just hopes and so off-topic, sorry for that.
