Delixe: Dixons have launched a direct download store and some freebies to the first 10k customers. I'm unsure of region restrictions, it's based in the UK but I entered my location as Ireland and it worked. Sign up for a new account and pick one of two packs free.

http://dixonsdownloads.co.uk/?srcid=369&xtor=AL-63

Sega Pack 1 - Medieveal 2, Condemned, Alpha Protocol, The Club
Sega Pack 2 - Megadrive Collection 1, Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic 2, Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing

asb: Great find! Does anybody know the DRM/activation situation for Ztorm (who run the store)? Is there anything particularly nasty other than Securom or whatever Sega likes to use?
According to the Ztorm FAQ: Link 'Q: What kind of DRM’s can Ztorm utilize in their digital distribution network? Ztorm currently work with most market leading DRM's and can easily comply with any additional publisher requests'.

So it doesn't sound like they've added anything on top of the existing DRM.
Picked up the first pack of course.
(Been meaning to get Condemned for a while, and Medieval Total war will go nicely with my copies of Napoleon and Empire Total War)

Delixe: snip
Meh. I give up with that Dixon site. Even giving it my father's address and birth of date it throws up that error and he bloody lives in the UK.

eyeball226: Is Sega Racing any good by the way?
I bloody loved it it was great fun. It's a Mario Kart style kart racer with loads of classic Sega characters from games like Shenmue, Virtua Fighter, Bonanza Bros, Space Channel 5 and Crazy Taxi. The only downside is the PC version doesn't have online play, with it it would have been a must-buy.

Can it do split screen? I'm pretty sure only one computer in the house will be able to run it.

No Alpha Protocol used Uniloc as DRM on other DD services so it won't activate on Steam. However during install the game will download a patch and that removes the DRM so it's never installed on your system. AP is effectively DRM free.
Anyone having issues with the Dixons store can also find the same offer on the PC World store, they are part of the same group.
im torn, on the one hand, free games, on the other hand, games i might not have bothered with normally, when i dont have time to finish the ones i already have lol

And as a heads-up, this link doesn't work either if you're not from the UK.
