I hope it's a remaster. I got a boxed copy of Alice a couple of years ago that I've never installed. I'd rather play the remaster.

Foxhack: Yes, I saw that.

People who preorder the game (any version) from Amazon or Gamestop get a download code for a soundtrack for the game. People who buy it off EA Store get Alice.

RAGE.
It's their IP so anything they want to do to promote their service if fair game. Steam offers gets exclusive content from 3rd parties all the time (Tropico 3, TF2 hats, etc.).

Does anybody know if you still get both games after release or is it only a preorder deal? I don't have any problem with buying from EA Store but I'd rather wait for a sale because 50 euros is a bit too much and I have already preordered 2 games this year.

50 Euros?! WTF, they fixed the Euro problem for me, but not for you? D:

Only Mexico gets charged in US$ every other spanish speaking country is charged in euros.
Sometimes the prices are fair like ME1 is 10 euros vs $20 but new releases are very expensive =/

Now tell me that Canada's EA Store still charges in Euros...

Delixe: Fallout 3 and all DLC is 50% on the GFWM. Not a great deal TBH.
Ack! Was hoping for GotY Edition fifty percent off. This is the vanilla game fifty off and fifty off on each separate DLC for a total of $50 all up.

For anyone interested, Steam always sells the GotY Edition for $30.
Got a preview e-mail of the Direct2Drive sale this weekend on Crysis 2, Bulletstorm, Mass Effect 2, Battlefield Bad Company 2 and STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl. Regional pricing applies so check US and UK sites.
Due to a sequel being released, Fortix's price is now 1 dollar.

Looks like one of those "uncover the image" games I saw sometimes at the arcades, except not porn this time. Will check.
Beamdog have all Meridan 4 games 50% off and a few other deals

i tried the demo a few days ago (and the sequel) and for what it is its fun

surprise surprise at it being $1 = 99p though

Taleroth: Huh? I thought I saw it earlier. But now I go and check and
1) At first the PC version of Madness Returns is delisted.
2) Checking it in a roundabout way, it doesn't have the DD of the original.

WHY?!

Edit: Looking further, apparently EA is doing a bundle with a remaster of the original for the PC.
avatar
Foxhack: Nope, it's not a remaster. I keep getting redirected to the Mexican site, but this is what shows up for me - the original game, a weapon and dress pack, and Madness Returns.

Edit: Wow, nice going EA. This way you ensure that the price of the old disc release remains high, not everyone will want to buy the game from you.

And I bet that 50% off deal mentioned earlier won't include preorders.
That would suck. You could get Alice and another $9.99 game for just $30. I'd pair it with Medal of Honor Airborne. Also my Portal 2 + Alice deal won't work since the deal is for DD titles only which while Portal 2 is on steam, EA only sell a boxed copy. I could sell my jewel case copy of Alice but I hold that game in such high regard that I could never part ways with it. That's what the second copy was for a few years ago :)

I read in a comment that the Alice remaster will supposedly support resolutions higher than 1600 X 1200.

I beat the Fortix demo in five minutes.

I'm not sure if that would be worth $1...

Fortix is short and while I think it's fine to buy at a $1 I'll probably just wait until it's in another $5 indie pack -- no need to double up and I'm not dying to play it.
