I got to say, after I started understanding spacechem after being confused for the first 15 minutes, this game is pretty sweet. I'm seriously considering buying it.

Pheace: About the gamersgate sale, I can't recommend Space Rangers 2 Reboot enough btw, love that game :)

Although the screenshots, just like they used to be on Steam, do not do the game justice at ALL. All the screenshots are of the RTS minigame, which is not the main game at all.

The game itself is a single ship space explore/trade/combat style game.

Weeklong Sale on Steam -> Space Chem -50% = 7,49 Euro
Is Space Rangers 2 Reboot worth buying if you own Space Rangers 2?
There is an underrated gem in the GG sale, called Rig'n Roll. Seriously, grab it, it's totally worth the money.

One job in the game asks you to haul a dead whale to the waste disposal facility. Awesome :D

That sounds neat, but how fun can driving a huge, 10 ton, very slow truck be? I can't imagine how the game would let you randomly crash into other cars or commit other fun traffic offenses like any other arcade driving game.

Afraid I can't really say as I've only ever owned Reboot

There's some details in here: http://www.gog.com/en/forum/space_rangers/space_rangers_2_reboot_vs_dominators
Fortix 2 is currently 10% off on Steam: $8.99/£5.39/€6.29 (Prices pulled from Didimatic).

It's the sequel to the very fun Qix clone, Fortix. This one is much more polished than the original, and is visually quite good. Otherwise, the gameplay seems to be basically the same.

Contrary to what's mentioned in that thread, and the faulty info that *used* to be on the Gamersgate Reboot site, Space Rangers 2 Reboot does *not* need the base game. It's standalone.

There are other drivers around, and you can crash with them. The police won't like it though. But a little nudge in the midday traffic jam can't really be an offence, can it?

I once managed to lose the cops after a long pursuit :D
Well, I get the relationship between SR2 and Reboot, but what about Space Rangers 1? Is it worth it to play it before playing the second? Are their contents different enough, or is 1 also somehow included in 2/R?
Guys...

D2D is offering 25% off many preoders including BF3 and...TW2. I'm really in intense thinking now...I mean, I don't care the DRM really, it's more the 50% or so CDProjectkRed would make out of it rather than the 25% or so.

I am the only one in that boat ? :/

If there's a AAA title you want on launch and are really looking forward to the game, to me GOG.com seems like the no-brainer choice. If you have any interest in one of the five gog rpg's being offered too, the price difference is suddenly only a mere $6.

For Oceania region players, with the removal of geo-ip monitoring, GOG.com's offer is by far the best deal. Ditto for any other region with censoring.

Yeah, and i'm not talking about this either, i'm sollicitating your advices on who to choose...

I mean, If I choose GoG i get a free game, an artwork and I give CDProject an estimated 15$ more for only 11$ saved.

What did you personnaly choose?

The GOG price to me is a pittance to prove that a no DRM release can work, so I chose GOG. Of course that's personally, but personally is what you asked about.
