Meh for the EA week... only Dragon Age Ultimate was worth buying, and today SimCity 4.

And funny how Valve messes with a few cents, like in PvZ, it's $3.40 instead of $3.33. Multiple those cents by hundreds and you have...

But as I can see on the Steam Board and by my own tests. This Version of PvZ is not playable :(

On Level 1-10 is got stuck. Screen goes black and a big mouse cursor is in the middle of the Screen.

Well, I can tell you that it is working for some. Having recently played through the game from the beginning again very recently and the last update was a very long time ago. I know that doesn't help you, but perhaps a solution can eventually be found so you can play it properly.

I just got it from Steam yesterday and was playing a few hours ago for the first time. I got to the stage where the neighbor sells you your first Seed Slot expansion and haven't had any problems yet. Did you get that far in the game?

When was the last time you updated you graphic card drivers/direct x? Some posts on the Steam forums indicate doing so *might* fix the problem for some.

Just a thought but are you running an AMD card? They seem to have some trouble with Popcap games. Disable hardware acceleration and see if that helps.

yes, and already tried... even running in windowed mode. No chance to get this running :(

Is SimCity4 any good? I marginally liked the original one, but I wasn't enthralled with it. I kinda miss it, though...

....if that's an HD Radeon before the 5000's you're going to be having problems with half of the games you try - the drivers are designed to cater to the 5000's and above, leaving the older HD series in the dust and the older drivers around the time of the older cards' prime had issues as well - but if it is an older HD card you'd probably get a lot more working if you go back in time with the drivers.

I have an HD3650 sitting on the shelf behind me that I give the finger to daily.

It's looks like best of them to date especially with the expansion that come with it that allows you to drive various vehicles around your city.

I passed on it because I really burnt myself out on Sim City years and years ago.
