lowyhong: It states on GG that there are lots of weapons to use, as well as upgrades. Do these make a difference to the game? Is there much of a carrot to bait the player with?
Weapon upgrades don't 'do it' for me, but if that's your bag you might find it interesting.
Of course I found the game to be a yawn fest so I'm not sure if you should be asking me.
If it were me, I'd buy the Hellbook edition in an actual retail store for 3 bucks more since you not only get a boring game, but also: An artbook, a set of art cards, the soundtrack and a comic book.
Blackwell Bundle at 33% off. I've heard nothing but good things about them, and they're developed by Dave Gilbert, so that can't be bad at all (apart from me overspending this week. Criminey, I've already got Garshasp, Driftmoon and The Oil Blue pending in my basket, and now the Blackwell series)

Oooh very intesting, I really should get one of the Blackwells to try first though.
Although I've had my eye on them for a while.
Driftmoon seems interesting, but the preview version I played way back when makes me think I might get bored with it very quickly.
Do you still get access to the preview builds when you get it from GG?

I'm pretty sure you do. Gamersgate has been quite friendly with giving users access to betas as long as it's supported by the dev(s). But I'd Twit Gamersgate and Ville just to be sure.

I've read someone's opinions of the alpha build, though I don't remember if it's on GOG or RPGWatch. There was quite a lot of praise in it, and considering the game is still months away from release, that's good news.
$10 in Americaland.

gyokzoli: It's a good consol port although it gets difficult after a while without a controller even on easy and you can only use XBOX controller. But a good game anyway.

lowyhong: What are the game's selling points? I'm watching some vids of its gameplay right now, but looks to be quite repetitive.
It is a (well done) mashup of Legend of Zelda with God of War with ripped off elements from many things. It does them relatively well, but the best way to play it is on Easy, since all the other difficulties do is add like ten times the life the enemies have, and that gets old FAST.

Literally, it is Zelda with a combo system in the combat. Pretty fun.

If you don't have a Xbox360 pad, but you do have another type of controller, you can fix most things wrong with the game using X360CE, just deactivate the rumble function.

Want, but was hoping for more of a sale :(

Also not quite sure what buying @Impulse means now for a Stardock game. I don't want to be with Impulse.
Dragon Age 2 £10. You can still get Mass Effect 2 for free until the end of the month.

This is the lowest price I have seen.

I buy only Stardock games on Impulse. Impulse will be their digital distributor for the foreseeable future, so it's a safe purchase. You can verify this by listening to Jumping the Shark episode 64. If Stardock ever decides to part, I'm sure the license will be transferable to whatever distribution service they choose.

I've seen this, and it's an amazing price for both games, considering. Yet I'm probably still not going to do it. A) Because it's not going to be on my preferred platform but EA downloader. B) Because it's going to lead to me spending wads of cash on the DLCs (I'm weakwilled xD)

So I'm gonna try and hold out for a complete pack on either of them I think :)

Still, awesome price for the games, considering.

@Above on Sins, thanks I'll take it into my consideration :)

I'm hoping for a DLC pack for ME2. I've got the Collector's Edition already and while I don't have the entitlement complex some people do and start demanding that I get all DLC free because I spent more in the first place, I'll be damned if I'm going to buy another copy of the game when it goes GotY. So DLC pack or I call if quits for this edition and wait for the third instalment.

I wouldn't hold your hopes up as they haven't done one before. In fairness though you don't actually need any of them. If you want more actual content then Kasumi, Overlord, Lair and Arrival are all you need to look at and do represent a decent amount of content for your money.

Churning out this much DLC is still pretty new territory for EA. I wouldn't base too much on their previous practices simply because there's little else to go on. But yeah, there's always an EA Store sale or something.
