Looks like a nice trade sim with ship combat elements. They also say the quasi sequel Commander : Conquest of the Americas for $10.48/£7.35/€10.48 isn't really an upgrade over EIC. I thought about Commander, but a read that if the combat in EIC is meh, then its just plain bad in Commander.

But fear not, Battlestations Pacific is only $7.98/£5.98/€7.98
Nice arcade sea battle simulator with planes, ships, and submarines. Graphics still look good, combat is frenetic, and tactical at the same time. Units can by commanded on the map, or controlled directly, lots of choices, and good unit variety.
Sadly the game is from the GfWL period of Eidos, and multiplayer and the DLC packs are only available through there. :(

Jagged Alliance 2 Gold on GamersGate for €4.99 is pretty nice, especially since GOG doesn't sell the Gold edition.

Isn't that a GTA clone in WW2 France? If killing nazis and stealing cars sounds fun, then yeah, I guess. MEANWHILE I am more interested in Sword of the Stars Complete for 7 bucks. Good price for that.

I've read comparisons to Velvet Assassin, which is more of a stealth game along the lines of Splinter Cell.

I have heard the console version is ok, but the PC version is full of bugs and the company is no more.
