Probably not, Steam versions require the Steam expansions.

As for Magicka, you can buy it for $8 using that 20% coupon at Direct2Drive.

Bad Company 2 is different in that regard. I bought BC2 from Steam, the SPECACT kit and Vietnam expansion from EA; they work fine together. The SPECACT kit was automatically tied to my EA account on purchase. Vietnam requires entry of a redeem code.

Also, so far cheapest way to get Magicka is to get the 4 pack. 30 bucks for 4 copies. Of course you need to do some organizing to get it that way or something but eh
