lowyhong: Bunch of various games on sale this week @ Gamersgate. Of note are Arkham Asylum, Amnesia and the Thief games. Then, there are also a bunch of adventure games from Anuman Interactive.
Can anyone tell me what the "Other DRM" listed for Amnesia on GG is?
Regarding Batman, "sucked horribly" is probably a bit of an overstatement, so I should probably elaborate. I really don't like hotspot-based stealth mechanics, so I didn't enjoy the "predator" segments at all, and the combat seemed so automated as to be pointless; I actually tried just spamming left-click during combat and not touching any other controls, and I still dusted the bad guys with barely a scratch.

I did enjoy Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill. Maybe I lose nerd cred for this, but they've always been my favorites in the Batman and Joker roles.

Surely that gains nerd cred by a large amount. Arlene Sorkin as Harley was the cherry on top.

If you purchase it directly from the developpers, you just get a serial key which you enter at installation, so you can play it on an offline computer.

Luisfius: Hell, just the Scarecrow segments are worth it.
I hate that bastard

Well, I haven't actually finished all of the Penumbra games yet so I'm not in any hurry to buy this. The reason I was asking was that it's on sale at GamersGate. That's good to know though, thanks.

Any idea if Crysis can registered to EADM, or if Mount and Blade can be registered to Steam?

EDIT: In regards to the GamersGate versions.

Oh, I dunno. Everyone pees themselves over Heath Ledger, but I thought he was kinda lame.

Not to derail the thread, though, I just wanted to point out that I did enjoy some aspects of the Batman demo. The whole presentation felt very much inspired by the animated series from the 90s, rather than the trying-too-hard recent movies, and I was happy about that.
I have bought Batman for 7.5$ on Steam few weeks ago, u guys missed that?

The demo does a horrible job at showcasing the game's qualities. I tried it too and wasn't very impressed. I bought the game on sale months later and I didn't regret it one bit. Combat isn't pointless at all, you have to learn when to counter, stun, and use your gadgets efficiently to be able to battle several enemies at once. On hard you don't get the visual cue when an enemy will attack you so you have to pay attention. Believe me, combat will only get harder later on.
Kevin Conroy is the best Batman voice ever and Mark Hamill is awesome as the Joker too.

Same thing as when buying it from the developers (afaik).
Have bought Shadowgrounds with Blue Coins xD
/ps: i think you shouldn't go for M&B, go straightly to Warband, basically Warband is M&B original with graphics upgraded + multiplay

The GamersGate version or in general?
I almost got kind of excited, turns out it's the first Mount & Blade that's on sale...
Sure $5.99 isn't a bad deal, but I'm more interested in Warband.
