reaver894: Seconded.

Here's to hoping today it's a good game on sale :E

Mafia II is still too expensive for me :/"

Emboldened the post number.

nmillar: But only the 9,999th comment / response. The original post is number 1, the 1st comment / response is post number 2 and so on ...
True but the opening comment is still a comment and hence why it is counted as number 1.

"I'll gift three titles (one each) to the person who makes the 10,000th comment and those who make the two after."

so taking that into consideration and the opening comment being number 1 that makes Pheace number 10,000. Not 10,001

No, a "comment" implies there is something to comment on. Without an initial post there can be no comments. Take a look at the news threads posted by GOG - would you call the posts by the GOG Editor comments?

nmillar: snip
I would view it as:
1: User has a thought about a possible topic.
2: User makes this thought public by making a comment in the form of a new topic.

By this logic that makes post 1 a comment of a thought that the user had, made public.

While I disagree with your interpretation, it is still a valid point. In this case though, the person gifting the games has interpreted it as:

1. User starts a topic by making a post.
2. Another user comments on that topic.
I agree with nmillar.
Too bad this forum software doesn't support polls or you could create a new topic with poll to see the general consensus.

In all fairness, this could have been made clearer by using the term post numbers or replies. Which all these posts are. The first post can be comment on a subject, but only the subsequent posts can be a reply...
Gah, it's ok, Chautemoc already decided the winners. Let's move on, we're flooding the thread now with something not particularly relevant, I was just a bit confuzzled about it, I'll live xD

Catshade: Damn, Master of Orion 2 for $2 is really tempting! That's regarded as the best in the series, right?
Depends. (As I recall) I like it more than MOO1, but some fans prefer MOO1 to MOO2.

Nevertheless, MOO2 for $2 is like being paid to smoke pot ;)
Thief Collection £4 Dunno about any DRM but with the individual games it was just a disc check.

?

Does that mean my 10000th didn't count because he tried to cheat his way to 10000? >.<

Actually nevermind, I don't want to know xD I feel petty enough as it is for even arguing over it :)
