VBProject: 1. Freeze peach doesn't apply here. It doesn't even apply on Steam which is from USA.
2. Yes, there's a difference between criticizing because you want it to be better and outright blind hate to everything GOG does.
I'm not sure how you can see this thread as being critical of GOG. It's not. It's critical of the devs who refuse to update their games, not GOG. GOG cannot force them to update something. This is a thread of shame for lousy devs who don't care about paying customers if those customers aren't on Steam (usually).

It also helps consumers understand what they're buying (customer transparency is good).

Finally, it's also a place where some of us can mention replies we've gotten from devs when asked (which may give people an idea of when things may get back in sync or if it's a total lost cause).

None of this is hating on GOG. It's actually all directed at devs, either to pressure them to update (and treat us as the paying customers we are) or to shame them and let other potential customers know (where they may withhold buying the game outright, regardless of platform, because of bad behavior on the part of the devs). I love this thread.

Singular8ty:
Well, there are also parts directed at GOG, demanding that they actually enforce the clause that afaik does exist in contracts, requiring update parity, and apply penalties going as far as delisting for long-term and/or repeat offenders.
But that's obviously not hate, but fair criticism, and in fact very sensible advice, since if you allow the other parties to walk right over you regardless of even existing clauses, your partners have little reason to even take you seriously.
Well, for me it goes with games like Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, still no achivements on GOG, and the new update for Conscript was released only on Steam. And this makes me really sad.

Missing achievements are tracked in the List of broken achievements thread. The game is already on the list there.

To be fair, I'm pretty sure here all updates are given at least a few weeks if not a month before being added as second class.

The update could still come, it just released today on Steam, we should give the dev team and the publisher a little more time.

We always release our patches on GOG.com before Steam as GOG is extremely important to us and incredibly supportive to us indie devs.

Syphon72: I became curious as to why ZP presents themselves as developers for many of the games they release. I mean, if they think that patching the game makes them the developer of that property, then modders deserve more credit for their community patches. ZP needs to be more clear on what they mean.

foad01: Look at the files for Flatout 1 and 2

https://steamdb.info/depot/6221/

https://steamdb.info/depot/2991/

They added files with the name "zoom_platform.bfs" to both games. From what I've read the LICENSE.txt files there include a list of mods which they have used to create the "new" patches.

On the one hand they are using community mods and patches, on the other hand they are acting as developers who have patched these games. WTF?
I've send three mails to Strategy First and got ignored three times. I will still create a GOG support ticket but yes, it seems as if they will treat us as second class - just as you have assumed already. :(

"Vangers" game is not updated on GOG.com anymore. Steam version got new 3D render and has been updated in 2024. GOG.com version is not updated since 2018 and even resources are not compatible to the open source engine anymore.
Found a little error in the google doc.
The wallpaper DLCs for Lust Theory 1+2 are not free on Steam, they cost 2.99€ each. So it's a payed DLC that's missing.

Decision: Red Daze - up to date now

Was missing the last 2 updates. Reached out to them on Steam and about 5 days later they apologized and delivered. First of about 10 Devs who I reached out to and actually got back to me with positive news.

The book demons : https://www.gog.com/fr/game/book_of_demons
I do not know if that game itself has an issue.

But ...
It is part of a set of games happening in a "Paper verse". Those are still under development.
The games have a base on old games.
In this case it is Diablo 1. The 3rd game, currently being developed, is recreating Xcom.

When you start the game, your are presented with a screen with different books on altars, 1 book per game.

The thing is, the developers released their second game : Hellcard on 1st february, and it is still not available on Gog The reason is that it is using the Steam netowrk backend.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1201540/HELLCARD/
They also release DLCs since then.

So those who intend to have the full series of paper verse games won't be able to do so or not before long.
To be noted that the developers mentioned working on an agnostic network backend to make it available on Gog.
So it may happen at once.
https://steamcommunity.com/app/1201540/discussions/0/3767860082240586925/

Moreover, in the game selection screen you can click to buy the game.
The browser will open the "Return 2 games" website and there you can click to buy Hellcard on Steam.
Someone not attentive enough may buy it and have the game on Steam

Yeah, it's the main thing that's keeping me from buying the game. Another outdated scam version on gog.
