Well i mainly need some motivation i guess. My main problem have been that you hit a wall that is abit hard to get over on your own if you dont have anyone that can help you.

I've never coded anything with C++ and would like to join. I took some classes on Java and Javacript years ago but I haven't coded in a long time. I use Linux so can anyone tell me what I need to install.

As far as I know installing it via their default software getter ... thingy installs mingw as well. Basically, create a new project, C or C++, console application. Then click on build button (yellow gear icon in the upper left corner) and if it builds all right, you've got everything you need.

I'd be interested. I'm a screenwriter and novelist trying to get published, so my interest in this would be to write a storyline, but I've sort of realized that I'd have to learn some degree of programming in order to work in the video game development arena.
