I'm sorry to hear that people's experiences with FTL on GOG are now worse, with achievements poisoning their thoughts and direction on playing and enjoying the game. I sure hope Stardew Valley never gets GOG achievements to ruin people's days.

Thanks for info. :) Just because you don't like something, and have some kind of mental problem when it comes to achievements in game, doesn't mean everyone goes through the same mental process.

Do you really think that everyone is buying/playing games just for the achievements ?

For sure there are some people, I guess, but that doesn't mean it's the same for everyone, friend.

Besides, you're not going to change the world with your comments, or even someone's mind for that matter. It is for them to realize if it is a problem, that they should be doing something about it.

But then again, I don't really see how it can be a problem. Even if they are playing games just for the achievements. If that's their way of having fun, after work or whatsoever, then they have every right. It's not like if it's gambling. Like loot-boxes and such.

I love how there's always somebody that feels the need to negatively comment whenever there's a thread praising achievements. How dare people be excited over something they like!

On topic: This proves the thing I've been pointing out in every 'achievements' discussion thread. Some games, such as rogue-likes, need achievements to extend the playtime.

Personally, I played FTL, I learnt the mechanics over several runs that ended in tragedy, then I did about 5 successful runs, and I was done with the game. I never felt the need to return, but now I'm hyped about playing it again.
