Our moderation team decided not to take a side in the discussion since this giveaway thread was created by the community and, as long as there are no forum rules violated, is up to you, dear Gogers, to decide its fate. We will not set giveaway rules, edit the OP's post, nor lock the whole thread.

However, to make it easier for newcomers to understand the situation (about the OP being inactive and other), I will stick my own post right above the first one.

You are, of course, free to create new threads to start anew and make your own, clear rules. At the same time, please stay reasonable when crating them, as multiple new duplicates might make it even more confusing for many Gogers.

BlackThorny: Of course there is. mike_cesara just wanted to show a way in which you don't even need the client at all. However of course it's still possible to just start the client go to the store page of the demo and install it from there ("download demo" button) - if you don't mind using the steam client.

Seems to be normal. I installed all demos normally using the client and not one of them did register in my licenses list because no financial transaction did take place. I doubt it will be different if you try to use a different way to add the game.

That's odd... I've recently activated a lot of demos via SteamCMD and they all appeared in my activated licenses list.

That's probably the difference, yeah. If you really want to find out, you may want to try activating some demos with SteamCMD (because I'm deffo not trying the other method myself xD).

Are you looking at Purchase History or Licenses and Product Key Activations?

I guess I was looking at the purchases. I never thought there would be two lists. Will check it again and see if I confused everything. If this should be the case I apologize in advance for the confusion. Thank you for noting this.

Edit: Just checked it. Silly me. I did just look at the purchases. Minecraft Story mode along with all other demos is listed in the list of my product key activations.
