As HSL said, get a halfway experienced co-mod to bounce ideas off of. Worked well for me in the past.

So funny story.

Editing the opening posts and something odd occurred which caused a loss. It wasn't anything complicated, simply adding the recent game into the list of completed games and changing the host list. This is why we are finding it odd.

If anyone has any historical data which will help recreate the posts (primarily post #2, rules etc...) please PM us. The next hosts were JMich and then Dessimu and after that it isn't clear. (Maybe dedoporno third?)

There probably was an unclosed sharp opening bracket - < - following by anything other than a space somewhere in the post. In a misguided attempt to fix a security issue, gog strips everything it thinks is HTML (rather than just properly encoding it).

I don't know how useful this aborted clone of the thread is, but it's the best I've been able to find: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/forum_mafia_administration_and_discussion (sadly bing and google don't seem to have a cached version of page1, due to gog opening the last page of a thread by default, and archive.org only has a copy of page1 from 2014, which isn't very useful either)

Correction, bing does have a complete recent copy after all - I just wasn't thinking clearly enough about the right URLs to test.

bing.com cache from 29 july of page1 (in case that copy expires, I also saved it locally.)
