Last night we played several rounds of "1 Night Ultimate Werewolf" (pack 1) !!! It was very interesting, and a bit different: fast-paced, way more chance-based, and very BASTARD because of numerous roles and mechanics. It was fun and then we played again later with a couple more people added and that added to the fun (though of course that means explaining things multiple times to multiple newbies, which is all good, just telling you all about it, the announcer/host did a great job with helping everyone learn and going through it all each time we played.)

ALSO, the one guy that the party was for (it was a send-off party) is pretty interested in werewolf/mafia and he might be coming by here to check out the games and group and maybe play with us! Though he's moving so it's likely it might be a little before he comes by if he is going to.

As the voting tally thingamabobber stands, it looks like the majority have shoved forth yogsloth with trentolf having a piggyback ride on his shoulders and Hijack bringing up the back of the conga line.

I'm ready to go.

For the tourney - I actually do realize that trent might have an advantage over me on this one, as a setup where nobody knows one another might favor his approach. I'm likely to... make friends quickly. And by "make friends" I mean "get lynched".

I wish we could, but it's suppose to be one per forum from what I understood.

Although it does look like some forums get two people if they are big enough, not sure what constitutes that.

It seems one also needs to get voted to move on from a large field...
Yogs - I think you are a high risk choice, but with high upside to get voted on. If you survive, I think a good chance to be voted forward.
Trent - I think is a smart player who will likely do well, I just wonder if that will be enough to move forward. Less risk, but maybe more chance to be overlooked in the post game vote.

I followed the first one closely. It was rather serious, but I'm not saying that to dissuade.

If a player is willing to make the commitment. then soldier on partner!

Plan:

1. We create new forum.
2. We start mafia there.
3. We use it to send the other player as well as representative of said forum.
4. Profit!

Let yogs take it on this year and I will follow it to see how it is. If it's something I would be willing to do I'll toss my hat into the ring again next year.

Honestly, I've always wondered if there could be an advantage to playing Mafia on a different, non-GOG forum. I feel like it would allow for a few interesting powers/abilities/forms of gameplay.
