TARFU: Does he really look that much different from the first Witcher game?
looks like a meth head that used to live around the corner.

Yeah, or the new Geralt played by Henry Cavill. LOL

true. well maybe a mixture of legolas and a meth head.

i think cavill could pull it off tho. needs a better wig, beard, and needs to look a bit rougher.
Made me laugh out loud for some reason, but again, I may not be a great witcher client. Maybe just because, as a gog customer, I obviously get hammered with witcher stuff a bit too much, too often, and too heavily.

But still, I found this video kinda funny. Don't know if it's inherent to it or just y mindset. Or just the fact of having read an article on Flash Gordon 10 seconds before.

Makes it look very 80s.

I want to see a Josh Brolin test now. And then a Timothy Dalton one.

This will probably end as well as most movies based on video games do.....

Isn't it based on the novels ?
I realize it's a long shot, but I urge everyone to remember what we thought of Heath Ledger the first time we saw him in that makeup.

Like I said, a long shot, this probably will be an unqualified mess, but lets give it a chance first.

It's the uncanny valley problem. The TW1 Geralt is clearly a CG model, very rough by modern standards, a stand-in for the real character, so imagination handles the rest. The Netflix Geralt looks like a larper in costume because he is a larper in costume, and the realism leaves very little for the imagination postprocessing to work with.
Kind of looks like bad cosplay...
oooooooooeeeee,a tough guy..... yep,sarcasm.
Yes, I've seen much better cosplays of Geralt!

I don't think I'm going to watch that series.
That is just awful. His hair looks straight out of the 80's glam rock era. How often does he get it permed?
... and now the last look at Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia.

Game of Thrones. Daenerys' brother from the early seasons.
