I will still not even consider joining Facebook until they get rid of their "real" (by which they mean legal) name policy and the policy of asking for ID from those whose accounts get reported.
... but really, it was my once-broken nose that bothered me every time I looked in the mirror. And so I resolved to ...
I agree. Search function is still not there, and it tries to install some app each time I try to access facebook on smartphone.

Speaking about which, I didn't log on facebook for years now, mostly because of these reasons. And I dislike dislikes system.
Can't wait to dislike other people's life events like weddings and birth of children or political posts.
I dislike Facebook too, that's why I never had an account there.
What's the purpose of this thread oO?
I share the feeling. Facebook Dislike.

However, it pains me how I've lately read some articles suggesting that nowadays many employers actually prefer and even expect people to be active in the social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Linkedln etc.), kind of showing how networked they are.

I personally also think they want to be able to see what the people are up to, what are their political beliefs etc... Facebook is a good spying tool also for employers.

Shit, maybe I need to open some Facebook and Twatter accounts, just in case I need to apply for a new job. Sending daily pictures of my lunches to my wife etc. Groan.

Would GOG forums suffice? Isn't this like a social network too? Community? I'm active here, what else is needed?

Oh and I am also active in TeamFortress 2! Sometimes it feels like Facebook. The other day one person complained constantly how an enemy sniper gets headshots to him over and over again, apparently suggesting he is using some kind of cheat. I de-escalated the situation by explaining to him that maybe he has such a huge head that it is hard to miss. I think I've used that line before, when someone complained about the same in TFC years ago.

I findally made an account after years. There were a couple groups that were FB only and I got tired of fucking myself over because other people are too stupid to understand the implications.

I run it from a virtuabox and don't post anything on it of a personal nature. I don't even use my real name.
I dislike facebook very much. I don't have an account.
I hate how every time someone links it, the website asks you to sign up without showing you the contents of the link.
I hate how they require your real name.
I hate how they use dumb retarded ads for dumb retarded casual games.
I hate it when people ask me why I'm not on facebook and tell me why I should get an account.
I hate judging people by the approval of their ''friends''.
I hate how whenever everyone dies, every last motherfucker who may have sat near him on bus once is suddenly ''very sad''.
I hate selfies.
I hate facebook games.
Will continue the h8 train later.......
I only use Facebook for my website. But friends keep adding me anyway then deleting me when they realise I don't share the same politically correct beliefs as them.
And here I am, the insane hermit who doesn't even have a facebook, saying 'I TOLD YOU SO', on many things.

(I've got a Google+. :B)

I use G+ too, most of my friends ended up dumping it because it wasn't cool. Twats! lol
I've got no Facebook, Google+, Twatter, Dumblr, Instagram or whatever is hip next and I don't need it.
All I'm using that is related to online (pseudo)social stuff is the English version of the GoG-board and an international OpenSource geek board.
I'm mostly using eMail. Does anybody remember eMails?

The rest is *gasp* offline.

Hmm really? I missed that. I have an account under a bogus name, and it's been active for years
You guys are way behind. For me, disliking Facebook isn't a new feature.
