The cynicism is strong with this thread... oh, crap, mixed up my fandoms! Dammit Disney!
Seriously guys, why do you have to automatically tear down something before it has even had a fair chance to impress or disappoint you? So you say you don't like the Marvel movies, yet you must have seen all of them otherwise you wouldn't be able to make these bold proclamations about how much "everything since Avengers sucked". Why bother continuing to see the movies if you hate them so much? Do you just enjoy lining Disney's pockets with your money? Even if you aren't paying to see them (wink-wink), why go to the effort for something you obviously don't like? Aren't there other movies you would rather see instead?
The fact that Marvel continues to make hugely successful movies says they are doing something right and people obviously do enjoy them so how can they, in any objective sense, really be as bad as you say they are? I'm sure someone will come back with a "the masses have bad taste" type comment, which is nothing more than a pretentious hipster cop out. Sometimes, the masses are simply right. If a movie really is that bad, they just won't go see it (I'm looking at you Fantastic Four), if its good, they'll go see it in droves.
I am in no way saying all of the Marvel movies are great or even good. Personally, I've found the Thor movies to be rather dull, though the first one does benefit greatly from a post-Avengers re-watch; I think Ant-Man should have been a Netflix special, rather than a feature film; the Incredible Hulk should never have been made by Paramount (it doesn't feel like it fits in the MCU), Iron Man 2 should have had either Whiplash or Crimson Dynamo, not some weird combo of the two played by a mush-mouthed Mickey Rourke... but are they truly bad movies? No, not at all. To me, bad superhero movies are the Schumacher Batman movies, Dolph Lundgren's Punisher, Ben Affleck's Daredevil, the Ghost Rider movies, the 1990's Captain America... movies that took the source material and trampled all over everything that made them cool. None of the MCU movies are even close to those levels of terribleness, yet you would think nearly all of them are, based on some of the posts here.

No, I wasn't addressing you in particular, it was "you" in the general sense. There just seems to be a lot of knee-jerk cynicism going on here, most of it totally unwarranted.
I actually preferred the Ray Stevenson Punisher movie over Dolph's myself, but like you, I wasn't much of a fan of the character to begin with.

They are most likely getting paid to generate hype and give good reviews or exchanging sex for good reviews like Zoe Quinn did.
I will wait for independent reviewers on youtube and then decide if this movie is worth my money or not.
Nothing on television can be trusted anymore.
However, Marvel has not disappointed with their movies so far. I am sure this will be a good movie with a lot of fan service.
But yes, it is still wise to wait for reviews.

I expected as much. Marvel seem to do a great job with the overall continuing story and fun little down to earth moments with the characters.

Do people really expect too much from Marvel movies aside from entertainment?. I thought that was the point of movies instead of nitpicking every plothole or performance etc...

That's what I want from Civil War. Good character moments and interactions. The action is a given. :D

low rated
I don't know where you got that from :D Pretty much everyone loves everything Marvel does, regardless of what it is. There really is no wave of criticism towards Marvel. Every comment section is pretty much just "Spider-Man!!1!!1 I jizzed my pants!"

Well I like X-men movies more than that of MCU movies.
If Marvel start to make movie with more story and less CGI that would be great.
I want a Marvel Knights movie.
Well may be they will make a netfelix series as Daredevil spin off.

Funny, I didn't even know there's going to be villain in Civil War, I thought it's just two sets of hereoes against each other. He doesn't exactly look impressive either. I'm not getting much of a Baron Zemo vibe. I don't know the character well at all, but still. I know, it's just one picture, but so far (except for Loki) Marvel has been rather terrible in the villains department.
I have to wonder- why is it so hard to get villains right (and not just for Marvel)? Doctor Doom, Lex Luthor, the Mandarin, Ultron... so many villains done wrong, out of some misguided need to reinvent the wheel instead of just staying true to the source.
