Having bought nearly all the PC games I want I've decided to take up retro collection. So I've bought myself a Sega Dreamcast off Ebay. I've already bought Soul Calibre, Sonic Adventure 1&2 and Crazy Taxi. What other DC games are worth going after?
For others who do not know what a Dreamcast is: It is a Japanese gaming console from 1998.

I'mma go ahead and say, "nothing" as I feel that anything worth porting from the Dreamcast already has been.
REZ and Skied of Arcadia and Shenmue 1 were my most fav games.

A friend of mine highly recommended me a game called Baldr Force once for the Dreamcast as well and I've heard that its one of the best old games ever made (also a game with nudity in it?), but I've never found a shop that sold the game. Heard it arrived on Steam recently though but I could be wrong.

I recommend Soul Calibur. Ever heard of that?

Whoa there, that is one heavy statement.

Record of Lodoss War: Advent of Cardice is one excellent action rpg and has not been ported anywhere.
Not to mention it is actually canon.

To OP: The above is my recommendation.

Dead or Alive 2 has its best version on Dreamcast, you won't find a (classic) fighting game better than that. Then Shenmue of course. Resident Evil Code Veronica is great, but the PS2/Gamecube version is better. Virtua Tennis (the first one) is excellent.

If you want me to be more heavy, I could go a step further and state that I''m confused as to why Sega thought to port Sonic Adventure 1 & 2. At least not without some considerable changes and improvements.
I'll name 2 games from each genre based on personal stuff I've personally played on the console. Tough choices and several awesome omissions I tell ya:

- Racing: Metropolis Street Racer/Tokyo Xtreme 2
- Action: Spawn: In The Demon's Hand (multiplayer)/Rent a Hero no.1 (dc is jpn only but on the og xbox there's an english version on the web. Worth a try definitely. Game's awesome and is packed with sega 90s goodness)
- Shmups: Ikaruga/Cannon Spike
- Fighting: Project Justice/Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
- Fps: Outrigger/Silent Scope (not an fps but awesome game)
- Rpg: Skies of Arcadia/EGG (elemental gimmick gear, great art, cool story)
- Imports: Zusar Vasar (easy racing wacky weird jpn ""racing"" game) / RoomMania #203. Click here to see a bit of this weird but cool game. To enjoy well ya gotta know japanese but there are guides out there.
- Weird and awesome: L.O.L / Seaman (mic is needed!)
- Miscellaneous: Samba de Amigo/Chu Chu Rocket

;)

You know, some people enjoy playing games on the original hardware.
You can play most Dreamcast games on your PC with better graphical quality!
Check NullDC, Reicast or Redream emulators.

For games, Jet Set Radio, Samba de amigo, Crazy taxi and Sega Rally are great.
I've played a lot of arcade games like Virtua tenis, Virtua fighter and Virtua striker but they are boring outside arcades.
Dont forget Shenmue, controversial but very popular.

Check Sega GT. It's ok, player earn "Kudos" as in game currency :D

Some original hardware I can understand. The Dreamcast is not one of those cases. It is loud, slow, and the controller leaves much to be desired in terms of basic ergonomics.

Plus there was the VMU which seemed like an expensive battery eating mistake. At least they made normal memory cards.
