Am I seeing the Flying Dutchman in the background?
Funny, I am playing the "Sea Dogs" games on and off again, currently both "Pirates of the Carribbean" (aka Sea Dogs 2) and "Sea Dogs: Carribbean Tales" (aka Age of Pirates).

But the figure has a lot of similarity with King Dedede from the Kirby games series...

So, are you by any chance depicting a Kirby game?
Maybe it is "Kirby's Adventure" on the NES (it has a pirate ship in the Orange Ocean stage), or one of the later ones, such as "Kirby and the Rainbow Curse"?

Could it be either "Tempest" or the naval game in the Warhammer universe, "Man-o-War: Corsair"?
I think, both of them have sea creatures or sea monsters in the naval fights.
