I've seen concepts similar in art of the distant past, It didn't work then either.
IDK; looks like solid CGI creatures to me. When thinking uncanny valley I think more of these creeps below:

Degrees of uncanny valley. They are not exactly scary, but I would be lying if I didn't feel a murderous intent coming from those eyes.

And here i thought the upcoming Monster Hunter movie was going to be the biggest disservice-to-it's-original-series movie for this decade (I say that, because the "of all time" mantle is forever taken that which should never be mentioned).
I'm actually interested in this film. I won't go to cinemas for it (too many kids for sure) but will watch it eventually. I like the CGI, only Charizard an Jigglypuff kinda put me off but everything else, I'm all in damn it.
