The new update reminded me - I was thinking about making this thread a few days ago.

Defenders Quest 2 is now in the making. It is till a bit of (estimated delivery end of 2014), but it is now possible to pre-order the game, through various tiers, through Humble Widgets. Each tier provides Steam keys and DRM free installers.

Defenders Quest 1 is a very enjoyable tower defense games, in fact one of the best entries in the genre, and hopefully the sequel will also be so :)

There is not that much information about the game as such yet, except that it will take place in a completely different world with a completely different story line. What is shown of graphics looks very charming at this stage.

I am really looking forward to this one :)

Aaaaaand voted! DQ is the only game in the tower-defense genre that I've liked.
Cheers. Would be strange if it did not come on GoG, as it seems the developers have a good relationship here, it is already being made for DRM free, and it looks like they have already secured Steam release.
I had a blast with the first game. Instabuy as soon as it's released on GOG or other DRM-free only service.

They already announced it will be on GOG.
Vote anyway and maybe bring a tear to larsiusprime's eye :P
It's for sure coming to gog, the only question is when in 2014 they are ready to go. So just relax and wait for the release (someday);-)

From the FAQ: Steam and GOG have confirmed they will both carry the game on release.

Edit: It seems SLP2000 was faster.

there you go... but it is not much point about the wishlist then...
problem is though, that gog still have not given much keys in Humble... I will pre-order this to get in the alpha or beta (not decided which yet), so it seems that I will have it in the Humble and Steam library only. Oh well, at least I will give Level Up Labs 25% more of my monies, so it is worth it :)

For DQ1 buyers from the webpage got a gog-key from the developer for free. I guess they will also do that for DQ2 again. But to be sure you maybe want to mail them and ask if they could add that info to the pre-order page.

Id prefer if they did that instead :)

Regarding a posting from the developer in the subforum it seems that they have that in mind, but they need to clear that with gog first.

Question is if they already asked gog to get possible keys for the pre-order or if they wait when they're closer to the release date. In that linked thread above they also believe in a possible release in late 2014, maybe gog don't want to show up right know and just want to see a more finished product first. We will see.

You should give Roaming Fortress a shot, it's pretty good too .
