Lots of users here have alternative accounts.

Heck - even I have one since that fateful day, when GOG decided it would be a nice gesture, to gift us all "profile pages"...that were "visible for all" per default, and which offered (in the beginning) no option to change that.

If you wanted yourself to be heard during those days (without adding a new possibility to violate your privacy with each new post) you had to create an alt account.

Some just forget about theirs. Happens all the time.

We others mostly hear about it, when these users have bought a game or two on that alt account, then forgot about that account - only to then - after we reminded them of the possibility here in the forum - return to say:
"you guys won't believe it, I actually have a second account, and my "missing" game(s) are all there...now I wonder ifthere's a way to merge my accounts into a single one..?"

Again, what does having WEindows 7 have to do with it being removed from your account? I play on Linux, and there was never a version made for Linux. They don't remove games you buy for the operating system you run. THat would be (among other things) illegal and moronic.

me too i cant find my game in gog

Something happened to people who bought Cyberpunk 2077 and never downloaded the game to their harddrives.

If this has anything to do with removing Windows 7 support from the game that I don't know but it might be a factor.

I know that I bought the game on GOG.com for half the price but any evidence of a purchase has been wiped clean.

And I don't have alt accounts which a sertain obtuse german seems to fail to understand.

Well, GOG can't wipe confirmation mails. Check your emails.

As usual, I suspect a user error here, a classic case of "wrong account".


Also some people seem to think that if they bought the game on Steam, they would get a GOG copy for free in addition, which is not true. The game only has you register your account for some bonuses, but it's still a Steam game.

That would not remove the game from your library.

That is a very likely scenario. I don't see the appeal of multiple accounts though.

You get an inferior goody pack added to your GOG library for having a Steam copy though lol.

Sure, but that's assuming they store that information and link it to your account, instead of just using it to determine which download button to make bigger and stuff.

Well they do not hide the Mac version from Windows users. Galaxy page allows you to download a Mac version, despite using Windows. It's just that the button is smaller.

Well we all know that there is not Galaxy for Linux lol. That's not a website issue, that's just a general GOG policy issue. I said Mac too, not Linux. My point was that the OS you're using does not restrict your choice of AVAILABLE downloads. You can still download Galaxy for the other OS than the one you're using.

It's restricting my access to two available downloads.

You mean they actually do not let you download the exe or pkg from here while using Linux? If that's true, then that's dumb on GOG's part. Make a warning about neither of these being made for Linux, if you have to, but let people download anyway.

why would they remove the game from Windows 7 users and not to Linux user, i use Linux and i can download cyberpunk 2077 and any other Windows only game. Just contact the support and if you realy lost your Cyberpunk 2077 copy bought on GOG.com and not on key resseler, they will bring it back to you.

I have never bought the game on Steam.
All evidence of me owning the game has been wiped from GOG.com and that e-mail receit that I got I deleted it a year or so ago.

I think it's time to change your email provider. I still have my very first confirmation mail by GOG from 2011.


So all you have are your memories.
And I am sorry to say that, but unless you didn't get the game by using a third party key provider and it got deleted because the key was bought with a stolen/invalid credit card, I tend to believe that your memory just fails you and you didn't buy it at all.

All you can do is contact support. If that fails, then there is no way out of it.
