BreOl72: Apart from that, it also wouldn't matter, if it had been bundled with another game, since the "orders history" would then simply show both games under the same order number.
avatar
DoomSooth: Not necessarily.
I couldn't find Shadow Tactics in my order history because it was included with a bundle I bought.
Had to search for the name of the bundle.
Well, all I can tell you is this:
whenever I search for a game by its name in my "orders history", I get shown ALL receipts in regard to that game.

And it doesn't matter if:
- I bought that game as part of a bundle,
- claimed it for free as a giveaway,
- got it gifted by another user, or
- bought it as a standalone (either for myself or as a gift for someone else).

Heck, if I can check the boxes behind all four of the examples above for a game, then I'll be shown four different receipts.
(or even more, if I should have bought said game more than once as a gift for others)

No, you are mistaken about that.

If a bundle is one of the old style bundles where you get a better sale if you buy several games together then you are getting a receipt that lists all games that you bought. Because what you did is buy several games together. And that receipt will be found no matter which game you search for.

But if you buy one of the newer bundles that are their own products like for example the Souls-Like Bundle your receipt will only list one item (the Souls-Like Bundle) and it will not be found when you search for Blasphemous or Thymesia because they are neither listed in your receipt nor will you get separate receipts for them.

And that's the case for all bundles. See pictures for proof.

That's true, if you buy a real bundle of games or DLCs or even the deluxe bundle of a game, only this bundle will show, not it's components. While the components are listed in your library, they do not show in the order history.

I know nothing about "old style" and "new style" bundles.

And sorry, but your "screenshot_2" doesn't prove anything, since GOG's search function in the "orders history" is faulty (it shows the search result for a second or two, before it switches to the "No results found" - message. My screenshots also had to be done in that two second timespan, because of that)

Notice also how I wrote that I'll be shown "ALL receipts in regard to [the searched game - here: CP 2077]".
The receipt doesn't necessarily show the game itself as a visible part of that bundle - the receipt just recognizes the game, that you searched for, as part of a bundle.

Some of the most hard to find games, (which you won't be able to find by their names in either the store, nor the game specific forums), can be found via the "orders history".

Examples: "Pool of Radiance" and "Eye of the Beholder".
Both games are part of the "Forgotten Realms" - Collections, and can only be found in the store or the game specific forums, if you know that you have to search for those collections.

With that one notable exception: via the "orders history".
There you can search for the games themselves and get shown the bundle(s) they're part of.

>> And since this discussion is about Mikael74's inability to find his copy of CP 2077 (of which he is sure, he bought it), and there's (apparently) only one bundle, of which that was ever part...Mikael should be able to search for the game (CP 2077) in his "orders history" and get the "Simply: RED - CD PROJEKT RED Collection" shown there (ONLY IF he purchased that collection with this account, of course).

From here on, he could then contact GOG, give them the order number for that collection, and therefore prove that he indeed has bought CP 2077 (but apparently never received it after its release).

Edit: please also notice the bolded words in my comment which you quoted.

The order history works fine for me. There is no result for "The Knight Witch" even though it is in my library. And the only result I get when searching "Hob" is "The Superhero Leage of Hoboken" but "Hob" is also missing. Now guess what I need to search for to find the receipt.

Yes, I need to search for "GOG" to find the "GOG-Opera GX Platformer Bundle" which contains Hob, The Knight Witch and Greak: Memories of Azur - Deluxe Edition.

No, it doesn't. No matter which of the above three games I search for, they will not find the receipt for the "GOG-Opera GX Platformer Bundle".

I have to admit you found the one exception to the rule. :-)

That's for historical reasons. The D&D games were very influential back in the day and when GOG rescued them and brought them back exclusively to GOG (at least in the beginning, I don't know if they can also be also found on Steam or elsewhere now) many people read about it on various game news sites and came here to buy the games only to be unable to find them. That led to lots of questions in the forum and support tickets.

GOG then manipulated their own search routines to make the game titles of these games point to the appropriate collection. That originally worked on the store page as well as in the orders history but with the many changes the store page has gone through it doesn't work on the store page any more.

Since GOG has made special exceptions for these games you can not use them as argument that it works for all bundles. As a matter of fact it does not work on any bundle except the D&D bundles.

Neumi5694 has also confirmed that.

I did not even know about this but I just tried and I can confirm this behavior. The games included in the bundle are also not even shown in the overview or the receipt at all.
Logistically there is no difference between a bundle with several games in it and a deluxe edition bundle with a base game and several DLCs.

It would of course be cool if there was a way to see which bundle contained what, but I would not wait for that feature.

Please stop using bold, italics, underline, and ALL CAPS to emphasise your points.

ALL CAPS is bad internet etiquette, as I am sure you are aware, and mixing all four of these in your posts makes them seem quite obnoxious, and you don't need ALL CAPS and bold/italics/underline to achieve that.

Even if you redeem a key, you tend to get an email receipt and order history entry. At least that's been the case with those Amazon giveaways. So I find this whole thread very strange.

Mikael74: It isn't there and yet I have a memory of purchasing Cyberpunk 2077 for half the price.

How can this be?

Did they change something in the matrix? /joke

DoomSooth: Was it ever bundled with Witcher games or something else?
No it wasn't bundled but I could have bought it together with some other game so that the total cost would be higher.
avatar
Mikael74: ''The same thing has happened to me and I think that it's because I have Windows 7...
avatar
DoomSooth: What would Windows 7 have to do with it? Version 1.61 still runs in 7. Just don't apply the DLSS patch or any patches after it, assuming you get the game back.
The latest version of the game doesn't support Windows 7 and if you have the game on auto update then you have a game that you paid for that you no longer can play.

I'm still convinced that Mikael74 didn't buy the game here (or if he did, he did so with a different account).

Otherwise, GOG should be able to find an order receipt on their side(!) for CP2077 in connection with his account.

These receipts aren't "one-way" files, you know?
Why would I have different accounts?

No I don't have several GOG.com accounts.

I know the current version doesn't run in 7. It's in my quote that you replied to.
