I don't know...
What I like here is creativity and surprise ("Be creative"). That rules were created years ago, when the thread was starting. I believe such entries do not exactly follow the letter of the law, but are perfectly fine with spirit of the law. The rule you've mentioned was rather to ensure that the step will always be +1 and not e.g. +0.37.

If you believe all those rules apply literally, why don't you upload images? ("Please, do upload the pictures (attach them)")
