Well i had to finish the formatting of the paper in the end - but at least that's done now .....

It's still lovely that a document cannot keep its formatting etc...when switching back and forth between MS Office and Libre/Open-Offie :/

ddickinson: Thank you. Things are definitely getting better for me. My health is not improving as quickly as I would like, but any improvement is good, so I can't really complain.
I'm glad you are on the upswing. I can sympathise with the grinding nature of slow improvement, but each day does become better than the last. Something for which I am grateful.

AgentBirdnest: Hoooo, well that doesn't sound too bad :-)
I've got it in my Steam backlog... Maybe I'll give it a go soon. I mean... Agents! How could it not be good? ;-p
Exactly! :)
yeah, I'll be happy to hear any opinion, if you ever get into it :) but no pressure!

Yeah that is always a mess. That is why I'm sticking to MS Word for my thesis since that is installed at the computer in my office. And switching to something different at home would just be too much work...
*big hug*

The problem comes with not wanting to pay to get MS Word at home when LibreOffice works just as well.

Well, I got one for 10CHF a few years ago when I was working at a company, special employer rate :D
I think I will be saying goodbye for the day. I have a few things to get ready for a wonderful evening I have planned to surprise my partner with when she gets home. I hope you all have a good rest of the day. Take care, everyone!

*hugs, waves, and handshakes.* :-)

That is very true, I might not like the slow pace but I am always grateful things are getting better, especially as things were not looking so good a month or so ago.

Hey *big return hug* :)
That's the reason i got Office University a few months ago but everyone from the team had a different office ranging from MS Office 2003 to Office for Mac to OpenOffice and LibreOffice which made the finalisation of the paper a gigantic mess....and it took at least twice as long as should be taking to do the formatting o_O

trentonlf: Y'all should let Carrion have it since he's the creator of this thread and a driving force in keeping it going :)
That's very kind of you to say, but I have to agree with Endre.
Without all the people here, it'd just be me talking and people wondering, "Why is that lunatic talking to themselves on a forum thread?" -laughs-

That's why I said a driving force and not the driving force, there s a community of people here that keep it going for sure ;-) I just picked you since you started the thread.

True, you're right. As for the creator thing, it stopped being only my thread when good people showed up and decided to stay. =)

Hello Fredidites! I hope you're all doing well!

Playing records louder than usual and Sarge seems to be loving it. We haven't played this hard in a while. :)

Good afternoon. =)

Can't complain here, getting ready to shoot some demons in the face. Glad to hear both you and your four-legged child are having a good time with some good music.
I think I'm finished with installing all the important stuff *yeah*

Congratulations. =) Just two more weeks, and you can have all the unimportant stuff added as well. ;)
