penumbren: Crow pretty much summed up our reaction last night when he got out of the car and realized the needle was still in his arm. >.< I wasn't much happier when I realized he had electrodes all over him that I had to peel off. (Not fun.)
Not much update, but apparently his knee is swollen; they first thought he had some sort of infection (he's diabetic, so that could be bad), but now they think he has gout, and we're still waiting to hear back about his blood test. The MRI did come back negative for any blood clots, so that's excellent news. He's been admitted and my grandmother and aunt came home, so at least my aunt's cat has calmed down. lol. Today is my aunt's birthday, but everyone's too tired to do anything, so we'll have a nice dinner tomorrow before we leave.
Overall, thank you. I'm aware that being here or being at home makes no difference at all right now, but I still feel bad for leaving when stuff is going on. Fortunately, a ten-hour drive, while not fun, is very doable, since it's a straight shot up I-5 for me.

That sounds good. A chance to rest, recharge, do something enjoyable before leaving.
When you head out, be safe and watch out for stupid people.
