ddickinson: *looks at the picture, then looks at the costumes I have.*

Erm, sorry to break this to you, but the ones I got for you all were the really revealing kind of costume, I thought Endre would have liked that. I am sure the short skirt and tiny top will suit you just fine. :-)

Gingersnaps... *wonders if it is the same as our ginger biscuits, goes to check... sees they are and takes a few*

I am glad to hear you are doing alright. Did you manage to get in touch with your doctor, if you don't mind me asking?

*big hug*
I kinda figured :-p I'll wear it, but only if I can wear jeans under the skirt. (I did that with a ballet tutu for a comedy skit when I was 12 [/random Agent fact of the day] :-p)

I left a message, but my doc's assistant usually doesn't call until the end of the day... so, sometime in the next hour. Luckily I'm feeling better at the moment though.
*waves at everyone*

Well, my grandfather is back in the hospital. They let him come home yesterday... and they shouldn't have. The pacemaker surgery went fine, but they sent him home a) with electrodes still all over his chest, b) with an IV needle still in his arm (!!!!), c) without making sure he could walk more than one few-minute attempt ten hours before his release, and d) without any instruction on how he's supposed to stand up without using both hands, which he needs to do since the stroke he had in November.

We were not happy. As much as I want to write a thank-you letter to the Nurse Practitioner who insisted on keeping him for an extra day, which resulted in the pacemaker surgery the next day, I also want to write a very pointed letter of complaint to the hospital, because that's just ridiculous. To top all of that off, when my aunt called about getting the IV removed, as we didn't have gauze or wrapping here, they said they would send out a home care nurse that afternoon/evening.... who never showed and never called.

We called an ambulance this morning because we literally could not do anything to help, and he's been readmitted to the hospital. He'll be going to a local rehab for probably about a week before returning home. He's also been having pains in his left leg and foot, which make it incredibly painful to try to stand or walk, so they're doing on MRI today to make sure he doesn't have blood clots in his legs.

At this point, we're concerned but not worried, and I just hope that the pacemaker does improve his overall health like we've been told can happen. At the very least, we won't have to worry about him fainting from standing up too fast!

My husband and I will be returning home tomorrow evening - about a ten-hour drive. I'm torn on this, as I feel like I should stay, but there's literally nothing we can do to help, and I can always come back up if needed. Just.... ARGH.

Today is my aunt's birthday. None of us were hoping that she'd be spending it in an ER waiting room. >.<

Hopefully tonight she and my grandmother will both get some sleep.

How are you, lovely Moonshine? I hope the week has been nice to you so far?
*more hugs*
Doing normal here. A bit bored by installing stuff ;-)

ddickinson: I know, I would have thought Endre would have preferred them as well. Although, I will admit to have worn a milkmaid type costume that was very similar to the stereotypical serving girls costume. But not the slutty kind of costume, I will admit it was not the most conservative costume, but it was not slutty either. And Moon is German, so she has to wear it by law.
avatar
moonshineshadow: If I'd ever wear something like that, I'd let the first person I meet shoot me. Or better, I'd should myself.

avatar
CarrionCrow: -laughs- That'll be great. I can see it now - giggling at ELT while Moon punches everyone and says hell no, there's no way she's wearing it.
avatar
moonshineshadow: Ah well, that would also be an alternative ;-)
No, no, no. No shooting yourself. Totally not allowed. =)

Jeans? Erm, nope. But you can have these stockings. :-)

I am glad to hear you are feeling better, and I hope your doctor will be able to offer some help when you finally get to see him.

I am so sorry to hear you are having to go through all this. It is terrible they let him come home so early when he needed a little more time. I hope the rehab will help him during his transition from the hospital to being back home. It is good to hear this surgery went well, hopefully after a few days of recovery he will be back home and the pacemaker will help with his health. They can really make a big difference for people, so hopefully it will be the same for your grandfather as well.

I hope you and your husband have a safe trip. Try not to be so hard on yourself for having to leave, as you said, you can always come back if they need you. You can't always be there for people, so try not to let it worry you too much.

Fingers crossed that after all this things will start to ease off for you all and you can start the summer on a more positive note.

*big comforting hug*

Installing stuff sounds a little dull. Are you having computer problems? But I am glad you are doing normal, I am still holding out hope for more good than normal, but normal will do for now. :-)

So I'll just have to make sure to never be in a situation where I'd need to wear something like that ;-)

penumbren:
Oh, for fuck's sake...

They released him with a needle still in his arm? What the hell?

Don't feel too badly. There's only so much you can do. No point at all beating yourself up for not having some kind of magical ability to improve the situation just by hanging around.

She is a Valkyrie, you can't really kill a Valkyrie. She will just wake up back in Valhalla ready for another day. :-)

Nah, new computer. So I need to install everything ;-)
And while it is boring, at least that solved the problem of Skype not saving my configurations :D

Fair enough. We'll do whatever we can to prevent such things. ;)
Good evening folks *big hugs and waves* :)

Just out of curiosity...what would you say your dress size would be?

That does not sound too bad. Hopefully your new computer will work great for you.

Well, it should work well, I selected the parts myself and assembled it yesterday. So if something does not work, it is my own fault. But everything looks fine ;-)

Good evening Crow :)

And nope not a chance - i am not wearing any of those "things". Find a Bavarian for that....
