Did a post get swallowed by the glutunous thread?
'ere we go :)
AgentBirdnest: I understood about 3 words in that sentence :-p ... It's a much more complicated art form than mine. Paper, marker, scissors, glue. Boom. :-)
Oh, and good mornoon to you.
Basicly, a piece of music is traditionally made up of sounds and constructions that give a wholesome effect, noise we can enjoy and recognize as sounding "well".
Throughout the past centuries, a notion has arisen in "classical music" that "dissonant" sounds (which have a gritty, dirty effect and sound"bad") are rather more interesting than originally thought.
As such, much music these days (or at least current-day postmodernist classical music, metal etc) is written to make deliberate use of "
horrible noise" as a peasant with no artistic capability might call it, as a structural element.
I decided to write a piece which has whole lots of dissonance and but a bit of consonance (the opposite), effectively also turning these scales arround.
Long story short, it horrible noise and you're supposed to enjoy it :p
