FearfulSymmetry: Hahaha, probably! My biggest concern right now is that the cat might come over and scratch at my door, because when that happens I won't be able to hold the dog back. :P

Are you starting Pillars soon? :)
I can hear it now. "No, kitty, don't you DARE scratch on that door! Oh god damn i- You're scratching now just to spite me, aren't you, you little shit!?!?!"

Nine more games to go before I start that. I should be nice and livid by the time I get that started. =)

People of FredSphere I have a question for you.

What happens when you already have a game or two in a series and you get a key for a hyper-super-duper-grand-master-all-star-extreme-definitive collection on the rental store?

If you redeem that key. Are the keys for the the individual games you already have wasted? Do you get some sort of bonus or something or do they simply filp you the bird and tell you that you're screwed while they touch their nipples?

They fist you silly without so much as a kiss on the mouth first while giving you the finger with their other hand.
(In other words, you lose all the shit you already have.)

They disappear.
Yay for wasting money.

ddickinson: I am sorry to hear that. *big comforting hug*
I hope things will start to improve soon. We want you back in tip top shape. *more hugs*

I was not able to do any work at the farm this week due to me not being too well (more so than usual). But hopefully next week I can. My doctor did tell me off for going back for full days, so I have to stick to a few hours or half a day maximum. But I can go a few times a week, so it should be okay. My new medication is not really working as planned, but it is taking some of the edge off things, so that is nice.

*lots more big hugs for the wonderful Owl*
Ho, don't worry, it's nothing serious at all :)
Ha... yes, you have to be careful... not want to do too much... Hopefully you'll feel better, and be able to work a bit next week !
**Even bigger hugs for the even more wonderful DD**

omega64: Enjoyment should be your number 1 priority right? :D
-stifles maniacal giggling- Ya know...I could answer that. But really, the ones who should do so are those who've seen me talk about my usual gaming experiences.

ddickinson: Good morning, lovely Fearful!

Thank you. I am glad to hear you are able to have a nice relaxing morning. Hopefully your whole weekend will be lovely as well.

*lots of big hugs*
*huge hug* Thank you very much!

*hijacking your conversation with Crow again* I wanted to play the old RPGs first as well, but I've been stuck near the beginning of the first Baldur's gate for a while now ... Just couldn't really get into it at the moment. So I did decide to fire up Pillars and now it's taking over my life. :P

Look at what you've done, you've made me curious.

ddickinson: So another fan of Pillars. I was so tempted to get the game and just leave the old RPGs I have and just enjoy the more modern one. My theory was that since I don't play them too often it would be best to play a more modern one. But then I would feel bad about the older ones so I think I am best to play the older ones before I get a nice new one.
The big question for that one is, do you like Baldur's Gate or Icewind Dale? Pillars is an updated, refined version of those classic games, mechanically speaking.
If you've played those and didn't like them, Pillars would be a waste of money.

Especially since he WOULD do it just to spit me. He's a mean little bastard. I'm fond of him, sure, but he's pure evil.

Whahaha, good luck then! I'm sure you'll need it. :P My Pillars adventure is coming along nicely so far, I think I'm close to wrapping up the first act.

ddickinson: Thank you. Oh, I have a FTL question. When I do get around to playing it, should I play the original for the first play, or enable the advanced features?
Good question :-|
I'd go with the original mode first. Advanced mode is more complicated - it might be better to get to know the original game before turning it on.
I'm off... working a bit :-)
Have a nice day, everybody !
Good luck for all your tasks...
**big encouraging hugs**
See you later !

And now, we hijack the hijacking. ;P

Baldur's Gate 1 isn't easy to get into. It's very slow, and D&D games always come with the problem that you're incredibly weak when you start out.

Cats all have huge potential for assholishness. It's just how they are.

If I had luck on my side, I wouldn't be plowing through piles of video game garbage.

Glad to hear you're having fun with it. I'll try to catch up as soon as I can. =)
