The biggest pain of reading books on a lcd screen is glare. That problem becomes moot on an e-ink display.
I have to say I don't find it inconvenient moving back and forth through the file on the nook.

Sounds logical....never tried a proper e-book reader thus far....although i'm currently thinking of getting a tablet which could maybe substitute an e-book reader....
Maybe it depends on the model...
