CarrionCrow: It'll be Insomnia. The statement says that people might be compelled to click fast soon. There's nothing else event-wise it could be, given that hint.
Not sure on that one. I don't know all the specifics, but a quick skim through the other thread mentions how the new setup works.
Figuring they're adding on features so customers have the choice whether to use them or not. I stick with memorizing my info, but a lot of people don't want to be bothered with doing that, I'm sure.
Well then, I hope you all get your wishes for a wonderful Insomnia sale. I know the community has been looking forward to one for a long time.
I do like that GOG keeps things optional. Hopefully they will keep it that way, with the site stuff and client stuff.
Ixamyakxim: This was the one I was going to suggest if you said "on the way" - it's actually a VERY fun little game, and one I was looking forward to "back in the day." When it was released I had a blast with it and it's certainly worth picking up when it shows up here. I think I've even mentioned it in a threads here before as sort of a "forgotten" or lost or unknown gem.
Felt a bit like "Strife" in the sense that it had a bit of a central "hub" sort of layout. And a bit like a Metroidvania as well, in that I think I remember there being a need to get new powers to progress beyond certain points. And those powers were a lot of fun. Really a worthwhile game - and one I remember being fairly pretty at the time, so it should be decently easy on the eyes now (I find stuff that's really ugly / old to be a bit difficult to go back to now - I know, I know, what kind of Good Old Gamer am I?).
That is good to hear. Does the game have a nice story like Half-Life, or does it have a more Doom or Quake type thing with little story? Not that I dislike either of those, but I do tend to prefer story driven FPS games.
I never played Strife, but I hear it was a good game. I do not tend to mind graphics as much as I mind dated mechanics. But then I am not really a gamer who plays all the modern games with their impressive visuals, so older graphics don't really bother me. Within reason. I guess with all the indie games being lazy and using "retro" graphics then the older games will start looking less outdates. :-)
