Empress_Owl: It's how we European call ISIS : DAESH...
Well in Germany the media usually uses either IS or "so called Islamic State"....DAESH is rarely used...

Oh and good afternoon Owl *big hug* :)

Rarely? I never even heard of it before o.O

I've only seen it in some more niche media before but not in more "mainstream media" aside from explaining that term...
Edit: And of course in some more specialist media...

EndreWhiteMane: Stupid American question:
In the video below John Kerry sounds like he is using the word 'dash' to refer to ISIS.
I haven't heard or seen that before, anyone have an idea what it means?

Thanks Little One, funny our Secretary of State would use it.
*'murican bear hug* :-)

ElTerprise: Hi Crow :)

Well considering the game you're playing and assuming that the hypothetical person in question would be aware of that fact, i don't think you'd odd looks - only for playing those games in the first place at most ;)
Sorry to hear that you're having a headache - hopefully that'll vanish soon :)

Have you ever played that gam?

I'm doing good :)
Eh, it's not a bad game, all bitchiness on my part aside. Only 5 levels left, so the difficulty's spiking.
Ever play Trine? If so, it's like that, only you have three separate characters rather than one that transforms into the others. Makes getting everyone to the end that much harder, and you have to get all three out alive to complete the level.
It all comes down to putting the pieces of the puzzle together, then doing it all perfectly. (Or starting over from the beginning over, and over, and over.)

It'll go away once I beat this thing. Looking forward to playing the sequel. Haven't ever touched that one since I haven't beaten the first in the series.

Never had a chance to play the new release on its native console, pretty much no one could afford a 3DO. Think I saw one in a department store 20 to 25 years ago, that's it.
okay, stopped Planey for now... too tired to think what to do next...
My thief has maxed one skill now, the lockpicking - hoping it indicates I've gone past halfway at least...

Yes. I played Trine - ah i see. Understandable that this is more difficult then. Hm...sounds like the perfect game for you then ;)

Hm? I thought it was a PC original because it was released after the 3DO already discontinued....

-laughs- Another difficult platformer. Seems to be my fate at the moment.

You're right. Just looked it up on Wikipedia. Thought it had come out for the 3DO way back when.

Exactly - well i guess you just have to find another genre asap then ;)

Hm...good to know...was about to check Wikipedia about that too :)

By the time I'm done with them all, I'll be screaming for a different genre.

Yeah...when in doubt, actually take a second and fact check a little. I sometimes forget that.

Well playing some FPSs might be a good idea afterwards ;)

I usually try to do that - but i also sometimes forget that too...

Sounds good. Maybe some Painkiller, maybe Doom 3. Something that involves tearing the shit out of enemies, as violently as possible. -laughs-
I hope you are all well today! Been playing Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky and really enjoying it. Sarge is super sleepy today, so I've gotten some good cleaning and some good leisure time in. :)

akhliber: *big hugs and waves*

Just popping in to say hello. I wish you all a lovely day!

Ixamyakxim: Hi! Happy Birthday to you and yours! I saw your thread yesterday - how funny is that, you all pretty much share a birthday. Here's hoping you have a ton of puppy related fun in store, and a nice time planned with your wife.
Hey there! And thank you very much! I love that our birthdays are all together. What's odd is that my wife's brother and mom both have birthdays that same week as well. :)

akhliber:
I think the only answer is then... family weekend beach cottage rental! ;) With a private puppy beach. Assuming no mother in law issues of course! ;)

I know people that love their in-laws more than their parents... and I know my sister who would ring the nec... er... nevermind ;)

Good afternoon, and happy birthday to your entire household. =)

Now that you've said that, you're going to turn around and the puppy's going to be wide awake, ready to run, play and generally wear you out. ;)
