ddickinson: And they knew how to code and optimise things in those days, they were not all just lazy indie devs recycling ideas and having no real coding skill. :-)
I think Medal of Honour was edited wasn't it? They changed the regular Nazi flag for an alternative. I guess that was not possible for some of the other games. I wonder why games can not be considered art? I don't always agree that every game is art, in fact often the term art is abused to cover up bad games, but I do understand it being classed as that if movies and things can be classed as art.
True - and i mean technically it's still possible - nowadays it's probably cheaper to use something like Unity - but even then it's definitely possible to get a highly optimised game...
I don't know - haven't played it yet. I know that MoH: Airbone which is on Steam is censored worldwide though...
Well guess which demographic the politicians in the 80s and 90s were from when those issues arose...certainly not from demographics with a general positive attitude towards games....
A common suggestion is that there only needs to be lawsuit which would render the depictions in games legal - but as i said, no developer or publisher would do that...
CarrionCrow: Good morning/afternoon/evening, everyone. =)
Hope you're all doing well today.
Hi Crow :)
I'm good - how are you?
ddickinson: Well I will be going and getting some things ready for when my partner gets home. I hope you all have a lovely day. Take care!
*goodbye hugs and waves*
Likewise and see you later *big return hugs*
