Stilton: Right on both counts, I believe. You clearly know quality film and tv when you see it. :-)

ddickinson: I actually really like a lot of the older British comedies. I grew up with them as my dad really likes them and they kind of grew on me. I know many people now don;t like the older stuff, but I don't mind them. Granted it was all pretty much made before I was even born, so I guess I should be more modern, buy oh well, I never denied I was weird. :-)
School for Scoundrels is one of those, made in 1960. Its one of my top 10 (5?) favourites and has an amazing cast. Its well worth looking for.

ddickinson: I liked Iron Storm for the setting, the whole alternative history set in the trenches stuff, but it soon left the trenches and the story got a bit meh. But overall I liked it, another good buy for me.
I've got Iron Storm in my library, but haven't played more than an hour of it. It certainly looks interesting. I might have to move that up a spot in my backlog, just because.

It does indeed, I was just looking at the cast. Alastair Sim, Dennis Price, John Le Mesurier, and many more good names there. I feel like I might have seen it before, but who knows. I have made a note of it so I will see about watching it sometime.

If I remember correctly, play it on easy. Anything above that and the game can do one shot kills, I think. It is a nice game, nothing big, nothing groundbreaking, just a run of the mill FPS game with a nice WW2 feel to it. Generic is probably the right term for it, just like Chaser. They are just medium level FPS games, better than quite a lot, but not the best.

Stilton: Guten tag, Herr Elt :-)

How's your day going?

Mine's the usual average normal unexceptional ordinary regular routine typical commonplace general standard conventional customary typical run-of-the-mill same old same old can't complain not much difference from yesterday which probably means tomorrow will be just like it, kind of thing.

Which is fine by me :-)

ElTerprise: Good afternoon, Mr. Stilton :)
I'm good - glad to hear you're doing fine despite the overly complicated way of telling me that ;)
For some reason I'm having a bit of a manic crazy hyper demented psychotic loopy lunatic day, which is odd because my IBS is killing me and and I've got about a billion things spinning through my head....

Okay, it's passing now...deep breath....stroke the cat...think of little bunnies.... Ahh, that's better :-)

Stilton: Hello, sweetheart x ;-) I gather you're feeling better today - good news! Dig your heels in and outlast the bugger, its often the only way. There's also the 'good friends and peanut butter' method, which it pretty useful. :-)

*return keep having a good day hug*
Dig into my peanut butter and try to outlast my friends... got it! ;-)
*time should move faster hugs* Argh, they are renovating on the floor below *noisy*

Stilton: And anything you have to say to DD will automatically make her choose the opposite opinion. Isn't that right, DD!

Just wait, she'll tell me I'm wrong.... :-P
avatar
ddickinson: Would I ever do a think like that. :-)

So if I agree, that is proving you right, but if I disagree, does that also prove you right? In that case I will just refuse to answer the question. :-)
You should have been at Bletchley Park during WW2 - the war would have been over in ten minutes.... :-)

Thanks for the easy tip. I'll keep that in mind. I tend to play on easy often anyway :-p

What would you call a "good" or "high level" FPS?

The Beeb shows it from time to time. Its definitely one to see.

Oh wow that doesn't sound too great - but at least you found the perfect solution for it already :)

Not quite the same as renovations in the same building, but construction on a new house adjacent to mine just started +__+

Hey, Moon. I hope your head isn't hurting... It must feel like being a sore tooth about to be pulled. How long until you can head for home?

*Calming and relaxing lunar hug*
