Well, I failed my career as dictator, so I figured becoming a teacher would be the next best thing ... ;)

I guess I've never really been concerned about responsibility, but that probably has a lot to do with my youth. Due to circumstances like my parents' divorce, my mother's burn-out and my little sister's chronic illness I gained some experience. :P And what I really like about teaching is that you also have the power to change children's lives for the better. The impact you have is not always clear, but the years spent at high school are definitely formative ones.

Hey Owl! Yep, it's quite nice, especially considering that I would otherwise not have been home until 6:15 PM at the earliest. :) I don't have any plans for today, but tomorrow I'm going to watch a movie at the cinema with my sister and her boyfriend.

The movie we're going to watch is Room. It's not exactly light-hearted since it's about kidnapping, rape and long-term imprisonment, but my sister and I were both very impressed when we read the book it is based on a few years ago, which is why we're going to watch it.

Hopefully the cold will go away soon! And don't worry about the details, I have loads of experience with snot. My nose would not stop running when I caught the flu just after getting that nose surgery. :P

Sarge's vet visit checked out okay, he's got some medication to take for a few days but should be fine. He's finally got some energy back today, so we're going to go play out back for a bit. I'll probably do a bit of actually-catching-up-on-the-forums out there, but I'll be on my tablet if I do, so I'll be in lurker mode.
