CarrionCrow: Hmm. It's been problematic for me as well. I also stick with the downloader, or just a straight browser transfer since the downloader now seems to cause system-wide lag when it's in use for any prolonged amount of time.
I'll do that. Thank you for the advice, I appreciate it. =)
That sounds much nicer, far less jarring, than the ibises trying to jolt you out of bed in a panic.
Maybe they finally got the hint that you weren't exactly enjoying their pre-dawn company.
That could explain why Firefox is so slow in the mornings, when the downloader is running. I thought it was just all the tabs I had open.. But at least the GOG downloader saves everything when I shut it down, and hasn't lost any downloads so far. Galaxy still seems to be very buggy. When I was last on the forum, it was supposedly because it was new, but now there's really no excuse. GOG support are all over the place about downloads, one of them told me to use Galaxy because it saves the downloads, the other agreed that feature wasn't working, and said I should use the GOG downloader, even though it isn't supported any more.
I wouldn't like to have that job..
I spoke too soon, the birds are back, with a loud hello for me. People here have come up with all sorts of suggestions about what to do about them, someone even suggested an AK47. :-(
Others say a big dog is the answer, but the one here chases them until she's exhausted, and all they do is sit in low tree branches, taunting her. The cats are too smart to go near them.
Guess I'll stay with my iPod.
I took so long writing this, inbetween checking my tabs and downloads, that my online time is almost over. I do hope that you get some sleep, and feel better soon.
Thank you for chatting, you always brighten my day. :-)
