AgentBirdnest: *tips helmet* Good evenoon everyone.
-good afternoon, hope your day's been improving waves back-

CarrionCrow: My desktop Skype doesn't work because Microsoft frequently sucks balls. Can't blame illness for that.
I know :)

ddickinson: Just dress up as ELT and let him take the blame. :-)

Because it is plagiarised crap that has warped peoples minds into thinking she was such a great author. Read works by authors like T.H. White and you will see where her characters come from. I read she even tried to own the rights to mythological creates features in her books so others could not. I mean come on, people accused Tolkien of stealing form her due to similarities, and unless he met H.G. Wells and was using his time machine it was not possible for Tolkien to steal her work. But it was possible for her to steal his work... :-)

Well I am sure the loyal citizens of Fred will always be here cheering for you.

A pear? Okay, pears it is. *empties a big sack of pears on teachers desk*

*big silly hug*
Good idea! :)

But ... but ... Tolkien was a big-ass plagiarist too! :P He stole The Lord of the Rings right out of the Edda and Beowulf and such! Doesn't mean we can't still enjoy him, but he was by no means original. :)

That's good to know. :D

*even sillier hug*

FearfulSymmetry: Hello Agent! How are you doing?

Thank you very much! :) *watches fireworks*
Not great... but c'est la vie. Haven't been able to stand up all day due to dizziness, but the alternative (not taking my meds) is much worse, so I'll just keep my mouth shut. Sometimes it's just fun to complain :-p

And yeah, pears kick ass. Put me in a room, alone with a pear, and I do not envy whoever will have to clean that mess ;-p

*passes out sparklers to everyone*

ElTerprise: Yes. That is the usual procedure. Lectures start in the second / third week of October and end in the first or second week of February for the winter semester and start in the first week of April and end in the second week of July for the summer semester.
But all internships, all field trips and some classes will de done in the lecture-free time...
I think I remember being surprised about this before ... :P We start on the first Monday of September. I think we do end a bit earlier than you, though, probably mid-June.

I'm trying to juggle my internship and classes at the moment. And my thesis of course. :P

CarrionCrow: Yeah, between the classics like Wizardry, the more current title of Paper Sorcerer and a boatload of Spiderweb Software stuff, there's a lot for an RPG person to go after.

Not really worried about it, honestly. I'm very much at a point where it's all a buyer's market. If I really, truly want something, I'll pay retail price and be done with it.

People always do that crap. GOG can't do every method for every person. It's just not feasible. I'm just glad it's there so everyone has better security overall, with the option to decline if they feel like it's too much of a hassle.

It wasn't too bad in the end, just took a bit to take care of.
Mentioning it so you didn't think I was just twiddling my thumbs for two hours before responding.
I still have many RPGs to play, but for a long time now I have not been in the mood for an RPG, just too much time investment needed. But hopefully one day I will get that RPG bug again and I can experience all the old classics, and a few of the newer ones.

That is true, but a promo just for Crow would be nice. :-)

They do indeed, about everything it would seem. I like that they have the extra security now, and that it is optional for those who don't want it. GOG may take their time, but little by little they seem to be improving.

That is good to hear. And even if you were I would not have minded. But thank you for letting me know you did not just sit there for hours twiddling your thumbs, if you were I would be worried those bad games were starting to really effect you. :-)

Ugh, that's really lame. :( *big hug* Hopefully the dizziness will go away soon.

Haha yeah, I still have two pears lying around. I'm going to brave another one in a little while. :P

Woohoo! Party!

ElTerprise: Hej Agent *big hug*
How is your day going so far?
Feels like I've been locked in a dishwasher >__o ... at least I'm optimistic that tommorrow (pluck spelling) will be better. And if it's not, I'm comin' after you, you little neckless motherplucker >:-)

But he never claimed otherwise. He was always honest with his inspirations and never tried to act like he had invented the wheel. Plus he had a lot more creativity with the works than some authors who did just copy quite a lot of others works. Plus Tolkien took very old sources as his inspiration, some of the over a thousand years old, not from authors who were still alive or had been up until recently.

*big silly hug before hiding from the creepy Potter army*

FearfulSymmetry: I need to teach at least twenty lessons, so I'll be taking over most of the classes from my coach from now on. That's not much though, I'd say at most 4 or so lessons a week. So it'll probably take me another two months to get through them all, although I might end up teaching more if there's time left.

Still, hopefully you'll at least be able to sleep normally again soon. Being tired sucks.
That doesn't sound too bad, especially since you're doing pretty well right off the bat. (Unlike the image of the crying guy running away and never returning...;) )

Used to it. No big thing. Figuring that if nothing else, once I finally get off my ass more and start going to a gym, I'll be nice and exhausted every day. Easier sleep then.
*sigh* Who had the great idea of using decimal units and binary units depending on the OS. Calculating Megabytes into Mebibytes sucks....

It was all ELT's fault, he is the guy responsible. :-)

Yes i think we talked abut it before. It's "funny" that we still have different systems despite the Bologna Accords......

Yes...you definitely have more work than me at the moment... :)

It seems to happen in cycles, at least for me. Get in a certain mood, play a lot of a certain genre, then go onto something else.

I'd rather have a promo with games recommended by me. It'd just be a huge pile of pain and awfulness. A few dozen titles that either kick the player's teeth in, are miserable pieces of shit, or both.

They're getting there. Forum people are bitchy, myself most certainly included, but the bottom line remains that we are in the super minority compared to the rest of the customer base.

-laughs- Yeah, I'm not quite that far gone just yet. Course, give me another sequence where 2 to 6 games in a row are frigging bad and that might start to shift a bit.
