Exactly. Guess that's a method to prevent people from actually dual booting - or Windows has a strange sense of humour :)

j0ekerr: Well it does look good.
But there seemed to be some kind of unspoken of agreement that Indie games should always be a little bit cheaper than the AAA ones.

And this game has broken said agreement.

BRING OUT THE TORCHES AND PITCHFORKS FROM THE OUTRAGED ANGRY MOB!
Well i guess the triple-A publishers might have constructive solutions to that particular problem ;)

j0ekerr: Speaking of bundles, let's take a look at the other page with bundle in its name, let's see what they've got this weeHOLYSHITEONACRAKERMOTHERFUKENNBITCHES!!! It's Ars Fucken Magica!.

Yes, I'm a total nerd!
As much of a pinball nerd I am and as much as I love Zen Studios, I think I'll pass due to how much time I spent on the last 7 soul-sucking tables I played from them.
I'm STILL #4 on the world leaderboard for Captain America, y'hear me?! #4!! And that's 'cause I got bored and decided to let the ball drain!

j0ekerr: ...Debian...
Funny that you mentioned Debian (but with contrib and non-free enabled) because that's the other OS of my Dual Boot :D

Ixamyakxim: I started the Star Trek manual and I think read 30 pages consisting solely of meaningless ship speccs and descriptions (the IDR F 3 Bird of Prey was a refit of a previous Klingon design with the F upgrade package... LOL - talk about eyes glossed over). That didn't even put me CLOSE to getting to how to, you know, play the game!
DILITHIUM CRYSTALS

They explain everything.
Damn it....three awful rentals I've had my eye on for some more torture are on sale, along with a couple things I actually do want, but the company fucked up the ports.

I need the weekend sale to get here already, see if anything I want shows up on GOG.

I am wondering what your ratio of torture games to fun games is :D

Which ones, I wonder?

By the way, what did you say you were feeling about high fantasy medieval settings?

Ssssht don't give them any ideas.

It's alright though, we'll just blame you for it.

Depends on how I look at it. There's stuff I know will be bad going in, stuff that ends up being bad once I've gotten into it after thinking it'd be good, and things that actually have a good probability of being at least decent.

Probably 19 to 1

Specifically, the stuff I know is going to eat reeking shit would be Dungeon Siege 3 along with Kane and Lynch 1 and 2.
As for the screwed up ports, that'd be Final Fantasy 4, 5 and 6.

I'm good for fantasy medieval at this point. Loaded up with the Pathfinder bundle, made out like a total bandit and even managed to fight my way through their system getting blasted to hell and back with the workload to get all my books out.
Kiss my ass, forum. Stop sitting your broken ass on my posts.
-kicks the GOG bear in the neck to make him stop being a lazy fuck and make the site work again-
Screw it, I'll just keep doing this until my posts show, or everything explodes.

With plucked up ports you're referring to the FF games right?

On paper, the good outweighs the bad. When I chew through and start screaming over stuff I didn't think would be awful, that's what starts skewing the numbers.

Yeah...I saw some screenshots for 6, and they make me think that the people in charge switched from alcohol to crack cocaine at some point in the production process.
It's 2016. Why the hell does the original game look a hundred times better than their supposedly improved version?
They need to stop getting the bright idea that they can improve shit.
Final Fantasy 13 confirms that their days of improvement are long goddamn gone. Just put the original versions of the good stuff on PC and call it done.
But on the bright side of things, if someone doesn't mind rentals and has a burning desire to complete their old Tomb Raider collection, or complete the good Hitman games with Blood Money, the prices are good. (Might as well since the morons aren't going to release them here anytime soon.)

Already have the Tomb Raider games i don't have here (i'm still annoyed that the story-dlcs for Underworld are Xbox 360-exclusive...) - same for the Hitman games. Well Ubisoft managed to mess up Tetris at one point - everything's possible....
And the ports for the recent ports are less then stellar as well....
