superstande: Panzer General plus elves :) ... it would be kinda cool to have elves in tanks :)

Ixamyakxim: Go find a movie called "Wizards." ...
wow, there's a strange one :) ... maybe I should try and get it...

Ixamyakxim: LOL mmmmmm flaming cookies of doom ;)

Crying is just being piggish of me - I should just be glad I'm going to play the game and nevermind the three month wait! On the bright side, no need to lay down a base tan for summer now - I can just remain pasty white and warmed by the glow of the monitor as I ply the spacelanes all summer long LOL!
Indeed. It's more fun when it hurts a little. ;)

-laughs- I wouldn't know a thing about such impulses...-quickly deletes GOGwiki page to hide the evidence-

Eh, tans are overrated. Personally, I'm a much bigger fan of skin tone resembling a cross between a vampire and Elmer's glue.

Additional - Currently playing a game called 12 is better than 6. Can't really recommend it, though. It plays like a poor man's version of Hotline Miami 1's gunfights, only with an art style that seems appealing at first, but eventually leads to getting shot and wondering where the hell it came from since the enemies are very hard to distinguish from the backgrounds.
On top of that, just got hit with a fatal out of memory error. Kinda funny there since I've got 12 gigs of RAM.
Another reminder that I need to check each and every thing I'm thinking of renting from now on.

I FINALLY get to pick a new game to play (I've been sunk deep in Pillars of Eternity for a LONG time now LOL - and just wrapped it up last night).

I know I was debating a shooter before (Riddick) or maybe some fun with Star Trek (STILL haven't gotten to Starfleet Command despite wanting it BEFORE it showed up and buying it when it was ~$2 a month or three back) BUT

I think I might do I-War 2. It was funny, I was in the mood for a cap ship sim like literally a day or two before last week's sale where I-War 2 was up for like a buck and change LOL. I had passed on it a few times before (was afraid of the difficulty) but between having a hankering for a massive starship to command and the fact that it showed up just then I grabbed it. Think this might be my weekend game. Manual is a nice quick read too so I can get right into it.

I started the Star Trek manual and I think read 30 pages consisting solely of meaningless ship speccs and descriptions (the IDR F 3 Bird of Prey was a refit of a previous Klingon design with the F upgrade package... LOL - talk about eyes glossed over). That didn't even put me CLOSE to getting to how to, you know, play the game!

Ixamyakxim:
Ah, flavor text. Sci-fi and fantasy games are full of it. With it being Star Trek, they probably felt obligated to add in as much minutiae as possible, to make the most nitpicky, detail-obsessed fans happy.

A space game doesn't sound bad. Course, as soon as I say I'll play one next, I'll end up randomly picking whatever sounds good at the spur of the moment.
"Sorry, Dr. Soandso is not in this week." ... That's the third time I've been told that in 4 months, Seems like I hear that about 76.3% of times that I call.

When it's not fishing / hunting / skiing / golfing / vacation season.

So maybe the first week of Marc... oh, wait ;)

*EDIT TO ADD

Just walked away to do something but had to come back as this gem came to me as well:

What's the point of spending all that time, money, effort and strain to BECOME a doctor if you actually have to WORK when you do? ;)

All joking aside, I do love docs and what they do, I just couldn't help myself as I thought I had a couple good one's there! ;)

Also just read your "Congrats" on my completion of Pillars (glad I went back a page or two - I usually NEVER backtrack as getting lost in this thread is a scary prospect - there are *ahem* a few pages there).

I DIDN'T do The White March. I'm not sure if I'll pick it up - if I get the itch at some point down the road I might. For now, I'm happy with the *REDACTED* hours I spent with the game and I'm looking forward to a change of pace. Though I DO love the setting of TWM (looks really beautiful, and the altered main screen splash that was updated with the most recent patch was a gorgeous, evocative one that almost made me want to fire it up ASAP). But for now, I'm ready to wait a bit before I dive back in.

I have a few games I'm looking forward to getting around to and a few more I'm hoping to procure on the horizon so it's a perfect time to put this one down!

Ours is always either ill, on holiday or on training. Which is an excellent thing, since he's a pretty terrible doctor and his replacements tend to be much better. Of course I normally try not to risk running into him at all and always make an appointment for Wednesday, which is his day off.

In your case it sounds like a very frustrating situation, though. I'll keep my fingers crossed your doctor turns up soon! *big hug*
Ah whoops I have to get better at reading Agent's post tone :( I thought a bit of humor was in order but clearly missed the point where he was genuinely upset. Glad you two were better able to pick up on it than I.

More often than not, doctors aren't exactly the most trustworthy of people.
Sorry you're having such grief dealing with them.

Totally understandable. Three months is a long frigging time to be focused on one title. It'd be worse if you did get the expansion, then burn out.

I love how Windows is trolling me. Thanks to changes to my Dual-boot i did yesterday it was one hour behind. I created a registry entry to fix that with the result of Windows now being on hour ahead -.-

Good moaning.

So I messaged a friend about the Firefox thing the other day since he was experiencing the same problems and he told me about the new Star Wars bundle over at Humble.

Meh, I'll give it a look.

Eh, looks ok I guess. I might get the 1$ ones. Not much interest in anything else.

Speaking of bundles, let's take a look at the other page with bundle in its name, let's see what they've got this weeHOLYSHITEONACRAKERMOTHERFUKENNBITCHES!!! It's Ars Fucken Magica!.

Yes, I'm a total nerd!

EndreWhiteMane: Feeling pretty good today, no complaints for a change. :-)

60 dollars for a preorder of a game we know nothing about?
HELL NO!!!!
:-)

ElTerprise: Glad to hear that :)

I'll join the HELL NO despite being very interested in that game.....it probably wouldn't run on my system anyway :)
Well it does look good.
But there seemed to be some kind of unspoken of agreement that Indie games should always be a little bit cheaper than the AAA ones.

And this game has broken said agreement.

BRING OUT THE TORCHES AND PITCHFORKS FOR THE OUTRAGED ANGRY MOB!
