AgentBirdnest: That's excellent! :-) So glad to hear it.
And thank you *big return hug*

Sounds like a lot of fun, and that's cool that your sister will come. What a generous Empress! :-) If I'm not mistaken, I think this will be the first time two regulars of Fred will meet each other in person. I'm jealous :-)
Yep, our Empress is definitely generous! I think so too. I'm pretty excited about it. :P

I wish it was feasible to throw a real life party for the citizens of Fred. :P

Soccorro: :) how yre you?
avatar
FearfulSymmetry: I'm okay, looks like I'm finally recovering from the bout of flu I caught. :)

avatar
AgentBirdnest: All right sounds like an improvement(?) :-) Good to hear.
Yeah, I'm feeling better today. I had a nice day yesterday, and I've made a medication change that I'm confident will work out a bit better. Unfortunately my family's health can't be quite as good as mine, which is beginning to worry me quite a bit :-\ ... But, c'est la vie, I guess...

Excited for tomorrow?
avatar
FearfulSymmetry: Definitely better than yesterday! The flu is finally starting to go. :)

I'll keep my fingers crossed the change in medication will work out! Hopefully you'll be able to get rid of those nasty side effects and such. Sorry to hear about your family, though. :( *big hug*

Definitely! I'm looking forward to meeting Owl. And my sister is coming over as well since Owl has an extra ticket, and she generously invited me to ask someone else along. :) So it should be a really good day!
Woohoo! That's amazing news!
avatar
AgentBirdnest: *looking for my favourite Socks*... Aha! Right there!
avatar
Soccorro: Hello Fredians! :D
avatar
AgentBirdnest: *big hug* Good mornoon, Socks ;-)

I'm jealous :-) That would certainly be interesting to meet some of the people here that I talk to nearly every day. You'll have to let us know if it was weird ;-)
A good mornoon to you too, Agént!

Morning all, glad to hear most of my fellow Fredvillians are on the mend.
Doing fairly well here, just waking up.
*hugs, waves, beverage of choice for all*

Yeah, that would be cool. We'd need a place to accommodate everyone. Maybe we could all meet at TinyE's Bed & Breakfast ;-)
It would probably be easier to do it in Europe though. You guys outnumber us Yanks :-p

Good morning. Here's to that "fairly well" continuing through the day! *clink*

Actually I would love to do that. Not that I could afford, both concerning time and money...

And TinyE has promised me a beer if we ever meet ;-)

Did somebody say party at TinyE's? Gonna facebook that!
Good moaning, I trust Friday is treating you the right way?

I've decided to capitulate and binge spend on that other steamed sale.

Out of the classic ones, Which x-com should I get?

Greetings Endre.

Banish your slumber by partaking of the distilled ichor that flows through the veins of demons. Also known as coffee.

I spent the morning doing some volunteer work. It's not entirely or absolutely disinterested.

I get 1.5 credits from it.

But it was nice.

That concoction defies every single known human and even divine laws.
I still have to decide wether that's a good or bad thing.

PS: I wasn't around yesterday to discuss the possible implications of this early weekend promo.

Maybe GOG's getting ready to give us some loving?

It's a trilogy actually:

1. UFO - Enemy Unknown (aka X-COM UFO Defense)
2. X-COM - Terror from the Deep
3. X-COM - Apocalypse

Although the third has not much to do with the first two. I would recommend starting with the first, and then moving on to "Terror". If you consider Apocalypse make sure you play in turn based mode (you can switch in that one).

I know, but I'm limiting myself to just one of them.
The pack includes Interceptor and Enforcer which are both horrid and thus add no value whatsoever.
The first one seems to be the most appreciated one.
In other news:
I'm going to do it. I really am... I'm really going to do it!
Won't someone stop me?!

Oh, and Tropico reloaded is going for a measly three quarters...
To buy or not to buy, that is the question.

I actually consider TFTD better than UFO, but I strongly recommend playing the original first. The second game starts out just like UFO (that's why many people were disappointed, because in the first hours it's like UFO reskinned). But then the difficulty goes up steeply and you'll be glad for any UFO experience you have (although you have to relearn a bit, TFTD introduces some game changers).

Actually I've installed my original DOS version of UFO only yesterday. Made it work with DOSBox (D-Fend), but didn't come around to actually play it.
Welp I'm going to limit myself to that one. And slowly pick up the others as time goes by.

Also, I'm still thinking about the revamped version of pirates. Should I or should I not?
Welp, I'm done with my last minute (last-hour) purchases.

Yarr 'tis be mine booty:

X-Com: UFO Defense
Tropico Reloaded
Parcel
Reveal the Deep
look-over-there-something-shiny:Sakura Spirit

Yep, those are my four purchaseS. Because I bought four games, as in two squared or 3 plus 1. I got four games, certainly not five.
I. SAID. FOUR. ALLRIGHT?!
*twitches nervously*

I grabbed 17 off of that sale. -laughs-

Funnily enough, if I were you, I'd be way more embarrassed about Slaughtering Grounds than anything else.

All 4 look pretty good. Good thing you didn't get a 5th one, it probably would have been crap. :-)

And whose fault was that?!
And keep quiet about that, if my political enemies learned about it, it'd be a major scandal.
The mistakes of youth (two weeks ago I was younger).

It might or it might not, depends on how you measure it. If you measure it against games it most likely would be. if you measure it against porn...
Why am I discussing this. There is no fifth game! Nope never has been.
