Antimateria: I think that rayman started in ps1 era but everything 8-bit was pretty hard. Even robocop could die in few dog bites. =/

ElTerprise: You're right..but i actually meant the "8bit"-music levels in Rayman Legends :)
I must google that tomorrow or today but later in the morning. I own rayman origins which is quite new but I remember playing actually first rayman and road rash.. both were fun. Happy times kinda.

Funnily enough i haven't played the old ones yet. Started with Origins and only played Legends aside from that. But i plan to replay the series from the start, when i have the time for it :)
I won one euro for one euro "lottery" it wasn't actually lottery but you know the scratch card where you usually lose. ^^

Lame.
Hi, guys. I've just been playing Iron Storm (couldn't resist at the current price) and I'm having a great time with it. Yes, its rough around the edges and feels a bit dysfunctional, but I've just encountered my first wave of exploding Rottweilers! Hilarious stuff. I recommend this to anyone who likes a sort of WW2 scenario (although its 1964 and WW1 is still raging) with a bit of a difference. Really enjoyable so far.

Just remember, the snipers NEVER MISS!!! :P Also some of those grenadiers have uncanny aim.

Hey there.

Games don't have to be perfect to be enjoyable (Just watch out for the snipers, they're pretty bullshit.)
Sniping is one of the features I like, although its a bit clunky how you can see further than the enemy can, plus the AI is of the indecisive mannequin variety. But its still a decent enough title to get some pleasure out of. And its helped a lot by the alternate history setting.

I don't think that's what Crow meant. Their snipers are bullshit.

Thick smoke/fog, you're hunkered down in a trench, he's on the other side of the planet, he still won't miss! XD

Not as bad as the 1st Deadly Dozen. I swear those snipers could shoot around trees.
Stupid godsdamned discs. Wish they'd hurry up and be done already.

Yeah, I got what he said. My sniper scope allows me to see further than their sniper scopes.

Are you copying stuff again, or loading a monster game?

Burning stuff. Don't really have too many hard discs of games left, and the ones I do got replaced by GOG copies.
Just generally impatient since this is boring as shit to do for any length of time.

I went through a phase of that some while back, and it dragged like hell. It gets so you're sick of the rhythm the drive makes while knowing you're going to have to go around a few times more. Use decent discs, too. I copied a load of stuff to Sony coasters a couple of years back and a few days ago I found nearly half were useless. I'll try them in another machine to make sure, but the prospect of having to use one machine for X stack of discs and another for Y is just so much shite.

Yeah, that's a load of crap, all right.

Fortunately, I've done this so many times now that I'm pretty confident in the setup. As far as I've been told, there hasn't been a single error out of the hundreds and hundreds of them I've burned over the last year or so.

Sounds like a good system. There was something sound about hard copy to preserve files for a long time. HDs are much more convenient because of how much space they condense, but there's always that risk of corruption or something disappearing due to unexpected errors. Discs for storage are even worse. In terms of nostalgia I like hanging on to some of my more cherished CDs, and they make good back up, too.

It works for one person who likes audiobooks a lot. (Them paying for the base materials doesn't hurt, either.)

As much as a risk is involved in banking on external drives all the time, they're the only feasible choice for game collection archiving. Otherwise, it's spending a ton of time and money, only to end up with a system that's a total mess once you've got games separated from patches and DLC. (Almost forgot about the DLC part, but that would get scattered too.)
