Tomorrow TopWare Interactive is releasing Vendetta: Curse of Raven's Cry. Does anyone know about that? Is anyone happy about that?

*comes out of hiding* ... looks like things are (hopefully) working again here...
dfektive: I've always been into Strategy/Adventure and RPG. My favs are old school which is really what I stick to. Such as all Lords of the Realm (minus part 3 which was a bust), KKnD (haven't played Krossroads but I own it now), M&M, Ultima.. Also was huge into Blizzards Diablo/Diablo2, and StarCraft. Played some Unreal and CStrike.
I actually came for the first 2 listed. Had to have them back and came across GoG then I came across this thread and have spent my 3 days as member here xD
I don't have that game and haven't really heard of it. Like I said I stick to what I liked and never really branched out much. Decided to check out what else is outside the walls of what's known. Dang, I was hoping you'd name genres I actually know, like Point-and-click Adventures or FPS :-p I'm almost totally inexperienced with RPGs. One of the only ones I have played a lot of, Torchlight, was made by former Blizzard developers that worked on Diablo.
I'm a bit more familiar with strategy, mostly just the real-time variety... I've not tried KKnD, but it looks a bit like Total Annihilation, which I've been playing lately and am really digging. It has quite a massive selection of units in the game, which can be a bit overwhelming at first, but lets you fine-tune your army nicely.
Other strategy games... If you like fantasy, Battle Realms and Heroes of Annihilated Empires are both excellent choices. Both pretty unique. (The latter is kind of an RTS/RPG hybrid, which is quite fun.)
Meanwhile, Blitzkrieg and Men of War are great strategy games in the WW2 setting (they are a bit difficult, but quite good.) World in Conflict for a more modern setting. The "Earth" series (2140, 2150, 2160) in the sci-fi department.
Plenty others I'm forgetting or have not played. Those were off the top of my head, which is usually a good thing :-p

I iz BACK!
Back to trying to make something decent with LaTeX.
So far I'd settle for half decent.
Sorry for not keeping up to date with the thread, got a lot going on.
I'll try to be on a bit later.

I wouldn't mind that BRealms if you could spare it. I've heard/read about HoAE and it seems like something I could get into. Might be picking that one up too. I'm going to check out the rest you skimmed off the top as well. Earth seems promising as you can never go wrong with Sci-Fi, well least imo = )

Torchlight was a freebie here at one point. You might get lucky and find someone who has a spare code for that too, since just about everyone has it.
I agree. Sci-fi strategy is always good :-) There are quite a few space ones here, but... I have a nasty habit of buying every space game and forgetting about it 12 minutes later, so I haven't played any of them :-p
