CarrionCrow: If the world is strong enough that you have hundreds and hundreds of things to do, it definitely improves the overall experience, sometimes greatly. Thinking of Skyrim or New Vegas, where the worlds were fine to run around in (if frequently blitheringly stupid), but their main stories were both weak.
I didn't think it would be, but given that someone I've seen eviscerate games like Fallout 3 and Skyrim give it high marks, I'm a lot more interested. Regardless, it'll have to wait, though. I either need a massive video card upgrade or a current-gen console in order to play it.
As I said, I have never really played any of the big open world games, so my experience with them is very limited. I know one of my brothers enjoys the newer Far Cry games, but so far I have just never gotten around to trying any.
Hardly worth the financial investment for just one game, although people were paying hundreds for a new graphics card when the WItcher 3 came out. Are the first two Witcher games classes as open world games?

I had better try to get some sleep as I am up early in the morning with a long drive to look forward to (well, no me as such, my partner will be doing the driving as I am not allowed to drive until I am a little better). I hope you all have a lovely day, take care and good night!
*goodnight hugs and silly waves*
